Blood Types

So one day, one of my friends who is a girl walked up to me and asked me for my blood type. I answered B, which is actually my real blood type from my first test when I was 5. When I told her she went like "eww..." Then she said that people don't like B blood type, whatever that meant, then she told some of her friends and they decided to avoid me because I have a B blood type (of course they are just her friends, not mine also). So is there anyone who can tell me what the hell is going on?

It's a new-ish think that's big in Japan and similar countries. A baseless psudoscience that assigns character traits to blood types just like astrological signs.
