Bloodborne: fun builds?

With a bloodtinge build you can rely on blood bullets for your ammo, and use regain to get health back after making blood bullets, thereby having nearly infinite bullets so long as you aren't using something like the cannon.

In the Bloodtinge build do you still have the rely a lot on parrying or is just the gun damage enough?

Depends on what weapon you're using. I've seen videos of people with a bloodtinge build who beat Gehrman using only their pistol. Parrying is always going to help though, there's no reason not to go for it when you can. You can parry and follow up the parry with a shot from your pistol for double pistol damage if you really want to maximize your firearms usage.
