However, im from a PAL Region, so im not sure if they will work on my PS3.

Can anyone tell me whether or not they will work?

If they aren't PAL (aka NTSC) then no, they wont work. Same rule with DVD/DVD-Players, Wii/XBOX/PS2,3 Games.

EDIT: Seem's Blu-Ray only have 3 Regions. If its not in your region then no.

Hmm there is an issue with the information on amazon though. They state Region 1, which is a DVD region, not a BluRay one.

BluRay has letters for regions. So Americas is A, and Europe is B...
But I would guess these are Region A.

But I do believe, but not 100% sure, that hte PS3 will play any region BluRays.

As for NTSC and PAL:
With an HD-TV this will not matter at all, the PS3 will play it regardless, but the regions might have an effect.

I suggest trying to borrow a Region A(1) BluRay from a friend and test it on your PS3.

EDIT: Here is what I know about the PS3 though:
It can not play other region DVDs or PS2 games (if you have a PS2 compatible player)
It CAN on the other hand play any region PS3 GAMES...

I also know that PC BluRay players are software encoded, so you can change the Region as many times you want by just deleting the region file :p

Playstation 3 games are not region locked. I have a PAL copy of the prince of persia collection.

I'm not sure about blu-ray players, but most home-cinema DVD players are also software encoded, just look up the brand and make online and set it to region 0 (region free). Usually by using some code on your remote.
