I only play the cool kid board games like trivial pursuit and life, not that nerdy "Hey look at me, I'm a level 23 warlock hunter" shit.

I have nuclear war and nuclear proliferation, forgot about those, haven't played them in a long time - they're great!

I love monopoly. So many good and bad times.
agreed 100%

Also snakes and ladders, that game right there was amazing for me, it's also educational because it teaches kids how to count xD

Diplomacy, Civilization, Catan, Axis & Allies, and Go are some of my favorites, but I'll play just about anything once- I'm an avid board gamer. Fortunately my university has a board game club. Oh, and D&D is a pen & paper RPG, not a board game, although 4th edition is a lot closer to a board game then the previous ones.

i like monopoly in it's various forms. especially original trilogy star wars monopoly. you get little coins that are worth 1000! always good once you're really far in the lead and can get a couple just to rub it in!

and othello. that's just cool.

Board games are currently experiencing a resurgence in popularity... I play a good deal of them, like Talisman, Arkham Horror and Twilight Imperium. Fantasy Flight Games [http://www.fantasyflightgames.com] makes some truly epic games these days, some retailing for as much as $80! BoardGameGeek [http://www.boardgamegeek.com] is also a good indication of the current popularity of board games...
