I had a few questions about this, I am only refering to the top chart.

On the female ones, how come near the right hand side they all wear this "belt" of uncomfortable touching? The rest of the torso is no go but an ever decreasing "belt" exists, why?

Female uncle, what the fuck is with that green stripe? Does that signify you can happily touch the front of the arm but not the sides?

Females are kinda happy for girls to touch their jubblies?

Females are more ok for male friends and uncles to touch their collar bones but not aunts?

How come on the males, how many males here allow a male friend to touch that close to the goods?

How come on the male the green on the ends of the hands gets smaller? Does that mean only touch fingers?

Male stranger has the same weird strips as female uncle on the arms, again, why?

Also hair is the same as the face for everyone, except in 3 male examples, why?

The bottom chart is too over whelming for me to get into, the simple chart produced enough questions haha

Personally, all mine would look like shadows!

Personally, I am most interested in why it is considered taboo for a male stranger to touch another man's head, while women don't have the same taboo for either gender. That is the weirdest thing out of this, the rest seems pretty much like one would expect.

Things change drastically too if a male is touched by a male stranger who is also a massage therapist. Then just about everywhere goes black. A majority of males will not allow another male to massage them (mind out of the gutter folks, we're not talking happy endings here). However females seem to be more inclined to accept another strange female massage therapist touching them, as males are (go figure).
Its all about cultural perceptions about massage therapy, and males are for some reason more apt to link massage and sex than females.

I think I'm pretty average when it comes to touchiness, if perhaps a bit on the more uncomfortable side. One thing I realized recently is that I really don't like when someone I barely know either squeeze's my shoulder or puts their arm around it. My Dad's being dating someone for a little while now, and when I met her parents literally the first thing her father did was put his arm around my shoulder in a jovial manner.

I'm not okay with that. Even with friends I'm not sure I'm okay with that.

Okay, scratch that first sentence, I am quite a touchy person.

God dammit that was going to be my joke.

There's some weird stuff going on in here. For one: women are apparently more comfortable with female friends touching their breasts than their stomach. This confirms all of my adolescent suspicions about all-girl sleepovers.

There's also the previously mentioned tentacles on the female uncle diagram. Quite frankly if I was a girl and my uncle started tracing that pattern on my arm I would feel rather uncomfortable.

Another interesting revelation, it is uncouth for father's to touch their daughter's right buttocks, as well as the lower right portion of the left buttocks. I shall keep this in mind should I ever have daughters.

*ahem* As much as I want to question some of these potential "problem" areas, let alone some of the lack of "taboo" areas, I'm just going to sit here and say "Yeah, I can see why you can't touch this"...

Other than that, does it only cover hands... or does it also cover inanimate objects like knives or spoons?

To quote a recent episode of Scream Queens: "Two things always happen at a slumber party: someone experiments with lesbianism and secrets get revealed."

An excellent guide for visiting aliens. I wonder how this kind of stuff changes culturally though.

The 'stranger' illustration for me would be entirely black. I don't even like shaking hands with people.

Well yeah, they might crease it.

This reminds me of the charts my ex and I made for each other when we first got together...

...that's not weird, is it?

Obviously it's the edge of the natural cone shape all females apparently possess.

But really I'm wondering wtf that's actually supposed to represent.

From the picture, it looks like it is supposed to just be apart of the line that represents the upper thigh, Meaning "hands do not belong up the skirt" haha

What's with the female uncle touching on the arms? There's a very specific path to follow or it becomes less acceptable. I can't even tell where the acceptable part is supposed to be. So like, shoulders are okay, then kind of like the side of the arm, going to the inside of the wrist and hand, but outside of forearm is no good?
I think it shows the back of the hand is okay, but the inside of the arm is not, which figures because the inside the arm, especially the wrist is considered an erogenous zone.

Right, because then there's no ambiguity...

Seriously, do people not just lay on the couch anymore with one partner laying their head in the other's lap while getting their head scratched? Really weird that people would have those kinds of boundaries with their partner.

I really hope that's not the actual reason because that's super-duper silly and kinda reinforces a `men only think about sex` mentality. I mean, I know my boyfriend doesn't immediately leap to `is it sex times now??` when I, for instance, poke him in the belly.
I do think it's strange that the partner one doesn't have more green on it, but I can't really think why.
I guess my sarcasm wasn't clear enough. :/

Ahhh. That would make sense. I still think that using that figure at the top just looks stupid. The actual body ones are better XD
