'lo all, just a question.
When you read books in Fallout 3 after you've maxed a skill, does it go over or not?

If any of the Fallout books exist, I want them all! We shall have to begin production immediately. Meet me in my secret lab in the head of the Statue of Liberty!tellmeimaninja said:Nope.
Wouldn't a quick google search solve this better then a thread?
Also, I want an real-life copy of Nikola Tesla and You.
Ah, my good man, how do you think I keep my lab secret? A slight abuse of quantum state phenomenon leads to both our labs occupying the same space, mine is merely in a different state to yours.tellmeimaninja said:But wait. My secret lab is in the head of the Statue of Liberty. I'm afraid we have a problem. The Blue Mongoose said:If any of the Fallout books exist, I want them all! What?Ultratwinkie said:no, it USED to though, which lead to some awesome late game rewards but not in fallout 3.
Haven't heard of this glitch before. How'd you do it?Nitpicker of the Wastes said:It does for Unarmed, you can spam the Hockey Mask hat glitch with the Chinese Stealth Armor for a similar effect.
Damage scales linearly, though, so even if you get Unarmed to 100 normally, then get the Bobblehead and read all the books, you'll only get 2 or 3 more points of damage.
Still, after 20 minutes of the CSA glitch, punching out Behemoths is really easy.![]()
Only if you played fair. Real men turn the difficulty up to hard when they read a book. That way you can maximise the benefit.Nitpicker of the Wastes said:What?Ultratwinkie said:no, it USED to though, which lead to some awesome late game rewards but not in fallout 3.
Books only raised skills to a maximum of 92% in F1 and F2.
You put on Operation Anchorage's Chinese stealth suit, and you get two of the same type of hats. (The hockey mask counts as a hat.)Evil the White said:Haven't heard of this glitch before. How'd you do it?
But, Dr. Presper, surely you know that two hits of Psycho to drop Intelligence by 6 helps even more.Axolotl said:Only if you played fair. Real men turn the difficulty up to hard when they read a book. That way you can maximise the benefit.
Of course. But then you not only waste valuable Psycho but also run the risk of being addicted. But if you're using the Psycho already it may be worth it.Nitpicker of the Wastes said:But, Dr. Presper, surely you know that two hits of Psycho to drop Intelligence by 6 helps even more.Axolotl said:Only if you played fair. I'd get Tales of a Junktown Jerky Vendor.Drakmeire said:no, I thought this would be a thread about whether or not you would actually want to read the books in Fallout. I would totally read "Nikola Tesla & You"
I don?t mind so much.Manhattan2112 said:Not even a little. Which is highly unfortunate.
so that explains the noise upstairs. (mine is below the statue)The Blue Mongoose said:Ah, my good man, how do you think I keep my lab secret?
