The Dark Tower Series

I second this notion. I'm currently half-through the seventh and last book. I can also recommend I am Legend and Fahrenheit 451 (fantastic book.)

I intend to read Catch 22 and 1984 as well, as I've heard they are very good, but I haven't read them yet.

The Mortal Engine books seem interesting as well, and I think I'm going to read those too.

She doesn't write about pirates, the landlubess. Sails an obscure and treasury subgenre called 'Nanopunk'. Arr.

One of the few sci-fi books I like is Jurassic Park. I suggest you read that.
