So, I have been playing MW2 a lot lately (to get the AK47 skins, specficaly the Red Tiger.) and after watching a couple of ps3 gameplay vids of people killing Boosters in Barebones Pro, I decided to do the same (just not upload them to youtube.) So today I have been yelled at for killing boosters and I have found it to be a joy to destroy their boosting. :D So I have become sort of a Booster Hunter, I keep joining barebones Pro and keep killing any Boosters I see.

So my question is: In any games with Boosters do you kill them? also whats your opinion on Boosters?

[HEADING=3]Please don't post "This is why I don't play MW2" or something along that lines.[/HEADING]

Boosting is: A booster is someone who two or more people get together and just take turns killing each other to either unlock a gun, rank up, or get a killstreak (in MW2 sense.) Without actualy trying to get them the right and normal way. (atleast this is my defenition)

For those of us not familiar with the Modern Warfare vernacular, what is a "Booster"?

I think boosting is kinda pointless and sad, but if people wanna be sad then I don't really care. Me and my friend do pretend to boost though on Search & Destroy by shooting an LMG at the spawn so everyone runs over and either gets killed by the claymores or us camping somewhere, it works surprisingly well and gets us a lot of hate mail, which is funny.

alright I shall explain since you asked: A booster is someone who two or more people get together and just take turns killing each other to either unlock a gun, rank up, or get a killstreak (in MW2 sense.) Without actualy trying to get them the right and normal way.

Ah, well in that case, if I were good enough to actually hunt down boosters and kill them i would join you in your efforts. Unfortunately, I lack what is referred to as "Teh Skillz".

I honestly, don't think you would need "Teh Skillz" seeing as most Boosters I have run into aren't good at all.

My only experience with boosting and boosters was in WoW where a highlevel player will run a dungeon with a low level player to get him some loot fast. I've done it with and for friends and I don't see any problem with it. I don't see why you do either, but that's probably why I don't pla... Oh right.

BTW why do you want to hunt them? Are they breaking the game? Or do you just want to ruin their fun/leveling?

I don't own MW2, but when me and my friends were playing it, me and a friend tried doing it.

We considered it boring so we ganged up Friend B and teabagged him. Eh, not much to say to that.

On xbox they smartened up and made boosting a three man job where two people boosts and another protects. It makes for an interesting hunt. A claymore, a stun and a UMP can make it an easy job.

That's different then what he's talking about.
In a game like MW2, and in a gametype like Free For All, there are boosters.
Normally, they aren't annoying, because they don't bother anyone but themselves, but when games have a kill-cap (In this case 30 kills), it can get irritating when someone is trying to play using fair and not annoying tactics. Your situation, it is more of a "no harm no foul" thing, because no one is losing anything or at a disadvantage because of it.

well, thats more Power leveling which imo isn't as bad since its not not playing the game correctly.

I hunt them becuase they aren't playing the game correctly and ruin fun for others since they also can "Hack" the lobby so they can get killstreaks in matches that have killstreaks disabled.

Me and my friend used to notice boosters, call them out to eachother, and then proceed to knife the guy on our team contantly, box him in, and spawn camp the other guy XD..best fun I ever had on that game. Granted we may have been a bit too mean, but when your gettin your soul crushed in that game on a daily basis, its nice to have a way to vent steam.

That was on domination though, if we saw a guy doing it on team deathmatch, there really was no such thing as "too aggressive".

I've done it once or twice in MW2, but what I LOVE to do a variety of this in RDR's online. How many times have you gone on RDR's online, only to be killed five seconds in by some guy riding past? Well, The Protaginist has a solution! Grab a sniper rifle, kill your assassin once at range, and then spawn-kill him until he gets so frustrated he leaves the game! Then send him a friendly message about not killing people who just joined a game.

Ah yeah I can see where it gets annoying when you run out of tickets, like in BFBC2 etc. and it's a good point.

Actually powerleveling is when you pay a korean to play the game for you. But I would say you are "right to ruin their fun" if they are ruining your fun. It just wasn't very clear to a non-MW2 player.

Can you not make private lobbies in MW2?

After watching some of the Sandy Ravage Booster Hunting videos on youtube, I think I'll start playing again just to grief some boosters.
