Boosting is cheating. Whether you're doing it for titles/achievements or doing it to annoy people around you, it's still the same in the end. Personally it would ruin the achievements or titles for me if I knew I had to cheat to get them.

Also... 20 kills in FFA is impossible? Really? Maybe I'm biased since I'm a CoD phenom, but I can't remember the last time I didn't get at least 25 kills in FFA.
Get 20 kills with only guns and nades, with no deaths? Well, you're either better than me or have a better connection.

Actually COD employs a lag compensation code "thingy ma bob" that allows people with worse connections to have an advantage, it does crazy shit like lag the persons hit box so that when they are running their hit box is behind them so firing at them while they move does sweet fuck all. Hence the shooting round walls you see on kill cams.

I stopped playing COD because of the infuriating amount of deaths attributed to lag compensation (I actually watch all my killcams), there is also a connection advantage attributed to whoever is the odd one out in region, i.e. if your playing in the US and your playing me and my friends in Europe, you get a 200th of a second advantage over us for being in a different region.

You need to know your meta game in order to do the challenges, its part of COD, like how in MW2 unlocking Sitrep pro was obnoxiously hard but in MW3 Sitrep pro was total fucking easy unlocks because of how the game system made people use tactical equipment more.

I'm with tippy on this one, you shouldn't be boosting because you'll be annoying people, if you don't see tactical insertions in games its because your playing the wrong gametype which doesn't favour tact inserts.

That and you can wait for TheMightyHutch and Seananners to start posting COD vids again where they use tact inserts and watch all there followers emulate them and use tact inserts while bitching about the spawns.

Yup, I know just about all of that... I was just broadly saying lag. It just annoys me that I have to be better than other players and somehow battle these lag problems, that YouTube people never seem to be afflicted with.

Watch any YouTube commentators and notice how many times they win gun fights without taking damage, that has to be lag... On the other hand I've been shooting people in the back as I have span around them, while wondering why they are shooting the wall and I die from damage to the back, as I am shooting the wall in my kill cam.

I hear if you don't run your Internet through a router it helps, like a direct cable from console to modem 'cos of something called "bloating".

That's because a lot of YouTubers are actually pretty young (Hutch, Nanners and iFlyIllini being some of the exceptions) and live in area's that have shitty internet, especially the Americans because internet over there costs a fuckton of money. Also of note YouTubers only use their best "rushing" gameplay, which favours lag because their hitbox is basically too feet behind them, its why OnlyUseMeBlade pulls off the shit he does in game. Most Youtubers aren't as good as you see in their vids, they get stomped on all the time its just you only see the good gameplay.

The reason your kill cam shows you shooting the wall is because you've moved and while your in cover your hitbox is actually out in the open. Always look at your Kill cam people, it'll show you how bad that game lags.

I remember from having MW2 that you liked the Demolition gametype?, if you want to see tact inserts then something like FFA and Domination has a ton fuck of them.

Online trophies/achievements are bunk anyway. Boost away, I say and to hell with anyone who has a problem with it.

If you do, then hope the Booster Busters [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9FLLEcRCQI] don't find you so they'll put it up on YouTube for everyone to see.
Am I the only person who thinks these people are so pathetic. Not the boosters, the losers that took the time to find boosters, record them and create a video to upload to YouTube? If you see boosters then kill them and move on.

I have to agree with you there, it is why I don't watch any of that GoodGriefing stuff or anything if I can. The people that go out to make people angry are just as bad as the angry people themselves.

I will admit though, back in Call of Duty 4, with the one on one matches, I did boost. I don't do it anymore, mainly because I don't really play multiplayer games that much now. Aside from Far Cry 3, I seem to be rather good at that for some horrible reason.

To be honest I think a lot of developers encourage this kind of behaviour. Some of the achievements and awards you get in Halo 4 almost nobody is going to manage to do legitimately and so those who have a slight OCD tendency or want that unlock are going to cheat to get it done.

There is an achievement for getting a certain amount of kills using the mech's melee attack in Halo 4 on a DLC map. Only one map out of the DLC has it, and each side gets one mech each that has a long respawn once it's destroyed.

So you tend to find that most people tend to flock towards it and spend the entire match only using it's melee in order to try and get it. Therefore taking a player out of the game, and the weapon not being used to it's full extent.

I once got in it at the start of the game. One of my team was unhappy about it because they clearly wanted to boost it so they team killed me. Then sat waiting by the spawn for the rest of the entire game.

You can obviously blame the players for doing it, but the developers are the ones encouraging it by making the conditions so awkward to get in the first place. It's actually why I dislike unlocks and achievements for multiplayer.

With my renewed enjoyment in CoD, I am wanting to get all of the titles and icons but there are some that are impossible, such as 30 gun kills, hit an RC-XD with a combat axe, get 20 kills free for all.

I say impossible 'cos it's the lag that is killing me.

So I am considering boosting, which brings me to a moral cross roads. Do I boost and know I never legitimately earned them or satisfy the completionist in me and try to boost?

Like I said I'm not in it for the glory of having an impressive title, I just want everything unlocked.

So, what do you think? Or what do you think of boosters?
The rewards and challenges are designed to be unlocked, some when you succeed at something very difficult, some when you do something a lot, and some when you get incredibly lucky, the one you described with the RC-XC is in the lucky category.
It's meant as a nice surprise to show that you got really lucky and had a fluke shot, not that any skill was involved.

Surely the point of gaining all the challenges is to display skill (although to get all of them, you will also a ridiculously long amount of time) so why bother cheat (which is what boosting is)?
If you get anywhere completing even all the kill X number of enemies with ever gun then you will naturally earn fluke one, just because of the cheer time spent on the game.

I hate being boosted mostly because I feel like it robs me of the practice I should have when I gain that level and also I find it extremely tedious.

I've never been a fan of it in any game really.

I actually moved from demo to dom and have about 3 days worth of game time in that mode, if I see 2 tac inserts then it's a lot. I will try ffa though cos I have to try and get the "get a 20 gun streak" unlock in that game mode

Another one is "hack 5 claymores then kill the person who planted it with the hacked claymore" but since you get the bouncing Betty first (which is also more effective) and who is stupid enough to hear "your equipment has been hacked" then run over it makes it another hard one.

It's not like I was thinking of boosting now, I am first going to get diamond camouflage on everything, all the perk titles, all the score streak titles, the sight titles etc etc etc and then work on the harder ones but if I'm sinking weeks of my life into a meaningless title, wouldn't it be more sensible to get 6 people to control a lobby and boost them? I wouldn't ruin other people's experience and I would finally have everything
