Are you insulted when you find out your season pass for, let's say, a sport's game box seat doesn't include the following years? Also, the word season is used on purpose, it designates a limited length of time for the service it provides. Your expectation (and now frustration) was created by a simple misinterpretation of the concept(which is not bad on your part, just keep it in mind if your ever faced with it again). To Gearbox's credit, they did list what the season pass would cover and they said, before any of the dlcs were completed, what would not be covered.
If you buy season 5 of Family Guy, do you get upset that you didn't get any episodes from season 6?
That's why it's called a SEASON pass and not a LIFETIME pass. They sell the pass with a certain number of items in mind and once they release those, it's back to charging more. A second season pass would be nice, just to save some money.
Um... You you know what season means? You got the first season of DLC, they stated it clearly you would get the first 4 packs of DLC from it. They were quite clear.
When they advertised the pass, they made it clear what people would be getting, which was all of the main, big, DLC's and that level cap thing. Besides, season doesn't mean forever, it means season.
Also!
Yay? I guess? At least it's optional, not everybody wants to get to level 72. I might pick this up, since not much can really stop Krieg anyway.

Ima: No, that is a clearly defined "television season" which is of course is being made irrelevant by the advent of streaming internet services for tv such as hulu where people will want to see things in the summer too. Think please.
Korten: Don't just say things, show me the documentation if you want me to accept something.
Sizzle: WHAT DAMN SEASON? Summer? Fall? A year (which isn't a season)? You people are retarded for protecting the legitimacy of this ethereal product which is basically you paying a company so that you can give your self a quick handjob.
Dragmire: See Korten's reprimand. Also, realize that a "Sport Season" is a thing mandated and ethereal in nature as well. But regulated and agreed upon by some oversight authority and the end-users. Unlike this 'season' pass. There is no 'game season'. You're justifying being screwed with, "They told us they would screw us eventually". Your allegory is not in the same ball-field or even the same sport.
Also, beyond this, I don't care. Just, please, don't be dumb consumers. They don't deserve it. Borderlands 2 wasn't that good. Life is an illusion! The universe is a hologram! Buy gold! Buy!
Are you trying to say that your interpretation of the word season in relation to gaming is the definitive correct use of it even though the current use of the word and what it applies to is closer to how we describe it?
Examples of life time content passes exist and has the name lifetime pass for a reason, instead of a season pass as you describe it.
Also, a company describing what content is and is not within a specific payment plan is not, "Screwing us over eventually". You have the choice to wait until all content has been completed a couple years down the road for some kind of ultimate pack that includes everything. Your insistence that a company has done wrong due to the word they chose to name their payment plan, even though it stated what it would cover so there would be no confusion, is really quite baffling to me.
I like how no one did the research for this at all. I have the season pass for borderlands 2 and thats it. and guess what guys. I got the level cap raised. Was everyone to lazy to log onto the game and go to the marketplace to see that it is included with the season pass? Anyways all you guys bickering is void and useless since the dlc comes with the season pass. Enjoy.
The head hunter dlc looks like it could lead to some epic swear sessions. It's already annoying enough that all your skins and heads can just randomly disappear, add having to fight a tough boss for a prize that can go poof at any random time is gona make for some very unhappy players.
LOL in some ways, yes, but in this case I was referring to the use of the term "season" and not comparing the game itself to a TV show. Does this really have to be explained?
Maybe they meant season as in the content seasoned up the game, or spiced it up, like when you season your food. Guess that would mean whatever they release now will be pretty dull. Using the food example, seasoning could also mean to make it better, though that means the new DLC must be pretty lame so I guess that's not quite right.
Or perhaps they meant it as in toughened up and skilled, like a seasoned warrior. That would work for the level cap increase, but with this second one not being part of the season pass I don't know if that's what they were going for.
