i agree with most of you, a plot and not being so repetitive... although i have one additional problem. When playing as a hunter did it piss anyone else of that The Brick could out snipe you with a fucking revolver when your using AN ACTUAL SNIPER FUCKING RIFLE?!?!
EDIT: also... not sure why not many people liked the way they presented the graphics. personly I thought it looked quite nice

Pretty much more of everything

Especially character customization, melee weapons, and vehicle modding

MOAR DAKKA!

Some new vehicles too. I haven't gotten very far, but so far all i've seen is the standard car with rocket/machine gun types.
Quotes Ellie from the local games workshop store:
"More Dakka is more FUN!"
[sup]We wore talking about mounting twin-linked heavy bolters on a baal predator tank[/sup]
Well, they should polish the game. More Dakka, more enemies and more skills.
A class tree that is 10-15 stages low with ALLOT of modifiers that will change your play style.
More item classes. Not just weapons/grenade mods and shields but trinkets, hats, boots, rings and necklaces just to add to the customization.
A large online arena would be nice. 4 vs 4 tournaments with and without offline weapons.
And finally... More character development, make it so that Ronald will hit on Lillith that always rants on Bricks worthless punches who defends himself by bashing Mordecais choice of pet...

Here's some ideas: Make the weapon generation less shitty so that Around 101% of the ingame weapons aren't useless (The only weapons that were actually useful against enemies at the level you needed to be to use them were modded), make the combat less completely terrible, don't give us stylized graphics and then about 2 different incredibly bland environments, give us a story, give us less douchbag jokes, give us less annoying quest, give us less grinding, give us-

Hell, here's a better idea: DON'T FUCKING MAKE IT. Borderlands is among the worst games I have ever played.
Dude, if you don't like it go to youtube and rant there.

Voice acting. The single player game felt kind of lonely because none of the NPCs were voice acted beyond a few stock lines.

Also, isn't it confirmed to be called Borderworlds?

And how is that not discussion? I'm discussing my complaints about the game. Things that could potentailly be fixed if Gearbox has the horrible idea to make a sequel. I'm simply voicing my opinion and reasons behind it. If anyone is trolling, it's you and your telling me not to say my opinion here.
It wasn't the fact you had a negative opinion, it was the manner with which you expressed it. It was rude, obnoxious, and frankly disrespectful to the fans of the game who were discussing how it could be improved in a civil, friendly tone. Now, I'm sure there are many threads about games that you actually enjoyed, where you will find positive, stimulating conversation, while you leave us fans of the first game to discuss it in peace.

Borderlands 2 eh?

1) Characterization. Write a story for real if you want to keep my interest. I'm glad you kept the gameplay in the spotlight, but do give me some motivation next time.

2) Better environmental interactivity. I can only play the "Shoot dude" mission so many times before it gets old. Give the player a chance to use some innovation, and you will have twice the game you had before.

3) Finally...How about making so I can actually play the motherfucking game over the internet (PC)?
That would be nice...

No, seriously. I'm able to LAN the game, but nothing, and I mean nothing has been able to get that piece of shit Gamespy system to work for me. I've done more networking shenanigans than necessary, and nothing works. It makes no bloody sense!
Also, would it kill you to remove the DRM from your DLC? At least make the content worth the 10-15 bucks you're charging for it.

10 dollars for a digital footlocker? Not a chance, assholes!

How is it disrespectful? I'm simply listing the many, many reasons why I find it to be a terrible game. If I seem to be the rude, obnoxious twat that you clearly thinki I am, then why do you give a damn about my complaints. Let me hate the game in peace, and I'll let you enjoy it peace.
Listing the reasons was fine. But I completely fail to see how advising the team to, in your words "DON'T FUCKING MAKE IT" is letting people enjoy it in peace.

Throw in a couple of new classes and keep the old ones. I want to throw my bloodwing at some guy tossing acid ballons or something. You be the creative ones, make up a class.

EDIT: Oh, and better and more vehicles. I thought that drving around doing some fighting in vehicles would be awsome. All I got was a 2 seater warthog.

A story is all it needs.

It had the action, the characters, the humour, the artistic style and the game-play length. Co-op worked very well and was flexible, if a little easy to boost. The guns worked well and the controls were well thought out.

Pretty much the only thing that would have improved it would have been an Epic story. So they need to make it like the first but with one of those. This will probably mean mostly new characters, and it should probably be on a different planet too.

Oh, and bring back Patricia Tannis, she is quite possibly the most amusing NPC ever created.
Tannis got annoying quickly..... and so did Claptrap.

Besides my minor complaint, Legion got it correct. Oh, no more Gamespy.

Well if it follows standard FPS sequel progression, the sequel is going to let you dual wield. The third game is going to give you heavy weapons like flamethrowers and miniguns. I say for the sequel they mix things up and combine them. Let you dual wield heavy weapons.

How awesome would akimbo flamethrowers be?

I'd like a weapons customization option. I originally pre-ordered the game when the guy at GameStop told me that the game had "zillions" of weapon customization options. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but I still want a customization option. With all the options, and a second play through, it begs for it.
You believed something a Gamestop employee told you?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I really liked Borderlands.
It had co-op, lots of guns, replay value, a cool art-style, and lots of guns. LOTS.
Because of its success (2,000,000+ copies sold apparently) a sequel looks inevitable.
What do you guys think they could add/improve to the sequel?
I thought a single-player to multi-player integration thingo where guns and armor and abilities you earn in single-player can be used in various new multiplayer modes and vice-versa. Find a really awesome rocket launcher that fires 6 corrosive rockets at once? Take it online and blast some whining American twelve-year-olds in the face with it!
Course, balancing something like this would be tough as hell, but if Gearbox pulled it off, that kind of thing would be amazing...
Your thoughts?
Borderlands needs loot rolls. I'm tired of ninja looters.

My wish list for Borderlands 2?

More color, perhaps it could take place somewhere that's not a wasteland (where most modern FPS's reside...looking at you Rage).

Different vehicles, anyone thinking something like a quad, or motorcycle?

More epic monsters like that Rak Nest, you know fighting insanely huge monsters.
Halo.
More character customization would be sweet.

That's it, no need for story, that'd weaken the experience, (see Halo)

This. Especially the Tannis part. In fact, More Tannis! And less out-of the way.
"I asked her to give you Class A clearance. But she refused. So i stole her robotic leg until she gave it to you."
I don't think those are her exact words but that was hell funny.

ugh, just don't make a sequel. make a new game that isn't an endless parade of killing the same 5 enemies over and over.

More variety in regards to enemies, quests, and environments (I know Pandora is a desert planet, but brown and gray get old after a while). More customization wouldn't hurt. I enjoyed it even without a story, but I think an interesting plot would definitely enhance the game. And a better ending in the actual game, not tacking it on in a DLC.

Keep the humor and the art style, though. And the bazillion guns, of course.
