Borderlands Dilemma

So I've kinda been on the fence about whether or not to get Borderlands. So this is a question to all of you who have already picked it up. My make or break criteria is whether or not it's first person or third person perspective based. Or if it's like Fallout 3 and Oblivion where you can switch between either perspective.

Its first person and it leans towards shooting more than roleplaying, the gunplay is a lot like a linear shooter would be, but in an open world with rpg elements.

If your on the fence do what i doing and wait a few months. By then the price will be knocked down a little and it won't be as taxing to purchase it, also by then you will have seen reviews and heard mates who have bought it.

The only third person you get to see is when you're driving around in a vehicle.

Personally, I think the game's a cross between Hellgate: London and Fallout 3. Not that it's a bad thing...

Maybe I'm lazy and would rather have other people look it up for me? (cracks whip) Now get back to work!

All joking aside, I've been scowering the web for a review that might bring this up, but haven't had miuch luck. And you Googles great, but Fallout 3 and Oblivion were both classified as first person shooters, but you could still toggle between wichever perspective you prefered.

So I tohught it best to consult with people who had the game, and could actually just tell me upfront. It was a pretty specific question after all...

So far as I can tell, it's completely first person.

Personally, I think if you let this alone be your deciding factor, your cheating yourself out of a great game experience - but hey, more power to you.

That's your big dilemma? 1st person or 3rd person, really? Look at screens, reviews, gameplay trailers or whatever.

Yeah I'm not sure how one couldn't figure this out by watching a game play video or a trailer or something....

And yes, Fallout and Oblivion had those 3rd person options, but they sucked horribly and I feel sorry for anyone who actually used them.
