I found plenty of them in my two playthroughs of the game. Never cared for any of them as they never seemed superior to any number of SMG's I used as a Siren.

Holy crap. I am lvl 28 and my best weapons (other than rocket launchers and snipers) are barely breaking 100. Does it make a difference playing solo?
They really ramp up once you get into the 2nd playthrough. Everything I'm carrying does no less than 200, and those are my repeaters. Revolvers are around the 400-900 range. Snipers are all around 700+, except one which is around 1200 (only sucks that it doesn't have any elemental damage. Just keep hunting and you'll find what you'll desire. :p

Meh by the time I hit my second playthrough I didn't need uber weapons. They didn't scale the enemies enough for my level by the time I hit the end. Except for the Island DLC pack. Those zombies were levelled properly lol.

The way I found my eridian weapons was just visiting a red chest over and over again. I think I signed out everytime or I just left the instance each time and kept repeating the process.

That's true - however if you given the DLC a whirl, that is were you start to appreciate the value of the concept of overkill. I'm just hoping the new DLC is also about as tough yet satisfying as Knoxx was.

Oh, and OT (apologies for not touching on this in my first post), I've found plenty of variations of Eridian weapons but for the most part I tend to sell them within about an hour or three after finding them. They're pretty to look at, but really IMO a touch too gimmicky when all I need is bullets (albeit bullets that set enemies on fire, electrocute them or melt them). I've had the most luck finding them in crates, although sometimes by luck they'll be on sale in the gun vending machines.

Ya on my second time through I was level 40 something and the starting enemies that whipped my level 1 character were still 10 levels below me. The only DLC I bought was the Island one and had zombies at my level. By the time I hit level 50 the game had worn out it's welcome.

I don't know about unlucky. The Eridian weapons are all a bit poo.
lol true dat, true dat.
Personally I think I'll stick to my Gearbox easter egg gun, the Red Rider. ^^

Seriously tho, if you ever get bored with borderlands (like I did) Theres a modding pack you can download that'll let you made your oen guns and items. I only use them in my singleplayer profile, but goddamnit you can make some epic weapons. My fav is my assault shotgun with 16 rounds a fire rate of 0.6, accuracy of 77 and damage of 733 PER PELLET.
