I dont expect this game to get boring so fast, i mean, if you reach the level cap on one character, just play the game on another one. Try to use different weapons and a variation of skills. Re-specc, whatever! It wont get old that fast.

Overall a good game. My roomie and I just "finished" it.. A strange, anticlimactic ending is our only complaint.

PLaythrough 2 is always an option, it's much harder than PT1 and you get new enemy types.

I played it with my friend last week and was thoroughly impressed with the class based system and the weapon thing. Plus its a multiplayer open world first person shooter. what else could you ask for? I loved assassin's creed 2 but I really regret buying it over borderlands after finding out about all the cool shit it had to offer.

In all fairness, I'm not playing, I'm watching. My husband has griped about the invisible walls and wonky driving, but my biggest thing is that the *sounds* are repetitive. Really, would it have been THAT much harder to record something else, anything else, to go along with "Check me out I'm dancin', I'm dancin'!" Brick needs a couple other laughs, too. It's maniacal enough, but I'd settle for a random pick of three. It's as annoying as listening to my little sis' undead rogue complain that she's out of range. Game change there, sorry, but you get the idea. Even Blizzard has almost figured out that a little variety goes a long way.

Borderlands takes the most well-publicized element of Diablo--random reinforcement, better known as "loot dropping"--and applies it rather unceremoniously to shooting without any regard for all the other elements that made Diablo a good game (the dynamics between the classes; ranged, melee, and magic combat mechanics; etc). "Big list of construct-a-gun parts" + "random loot" + "straightforward shooting" =/= a very stimulating game. You pick the gun that's doing the most damage to the most enemies, or maybe the one that has the wildest and most amusing effect, and pretty much stick with that until the novelty of its construct-a-gun system wears off. The trouble is that they didn't really take into account the strategic roles and purposes of their weapons but rather just slapped this setup together with what they thought sounded like cool and over-the-top ideas for weapons. It's not so much stimulating as just kind of distracting for a while.
