(Borderlands) New DLC too difficult?

I just finished a session of the new DLC (The Secret Armory of General Knoxx), and boy is my ass sore. I hate to be blunt like that, but this DLC is fucking ridiculous. I remember dying because the vehicles in the game are about as durable as wet toilet paper, but I seriously died because of this crap about 30 times in 3 hours. Thank god I had a lot of cash saved up from farming item chests, or I'd be broke just from death penalties.

Anyways, has anyone else played this DLC at level 50 by themselves and found it INCREDIBLY challenging? I imagine it gets easier when you start adding players, but by myself I was dying 2-3 times per encounter. Before someone says it, no I'm not a bad player. I've been playing competitive shooters on a semi-pro level for several years now.

I haven't played any of the DLC due to Securom, but the main game that I've played was piss easy, so unless they removed my guns, and made me strangle the enemies with wet toilet paper it shouldn't be too hard.

I think that's why this has caught me off-guard so much. I blew through 2 playthroughs solo without dying too many times, and it was relatively easy. This DLC is thoroughly kicking my ass though.

You're not alone here buddy, this is the most challenging thing I've played on my xbox 360 ever I think. It's really annoying, it's definitely better than Moxxi's underdome and Zombie Island in terms of variety and size, but it's too damn hard!!!!! how irritating.

i've only played 2 hours, and i've died over 15 times, at least. esp the part with the bots on the highway. they followed me to where i respawned and continued to kick my ass over and over, then the enemy vehicles started pouring in. i finally just got in a vehicle and ran the hell away.

lol, semi-pro level.

Anyway, I completely agree, I've been shelling-out $300K every few minutes to respawn, it's kinda getting old. But it is still pretty fun.
