Bored....

All is boring right now. Tired of all these lame FPS's and bored
of the old ones. I am bored of RTS's and having to rebuild everything from scratch.
You although might think I am boring, but I am not. I am thinking that I
can see myself finally breaking away from video games. I am starting to
suck at all my favorites that I used to be really good at. I think it is
my brain that is finally maturing or something. Though I might sound like a
dick what I say this, but games today just suck compared to what I used to play.

I honestly know how you feel. You are hard pressed to find a truly fun game. Play some shovelware for the Wii or Kinect. They are dumb, but kinda fun.

Also, you could, you know, go outside. Play some paintball(my sport of choice), see a movie, hang out with you friends.

Do what I do when I get tired of new games: go old-school and break out the N64. It's got Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64, DK 64, and the original Super Smash Bros. That thing can keep me entertained for weeks.

yea, I think I am burned out. Currently playing some old NES games with emulator. Like Marbel Madness. I played The Baulders Gates and Icewind Dale games years ago, but I don't have the patience for RPG's anymore. I still haven't beaten Oblivion and I am on my like 30th character I made. Just get bored too fast.

This is why I have multiple hobbies. when I get bored of PC gaming I pick up a transmitter and take one of my RCs for a spin, and when one of them cocks up I've always got things that need to be fixed on my pickup. Should that not need anything I can afford to give it, I've also got legos and firearms[footnote]And yes I play with those guns safely. I'm not some hillbilly inbred fuckwit that gives honest gun owners a bad name. I know how to safely handle, load, maintain and fire guns, and I know how to safely set up a range in my yard that will ensure no stray rounds harm anyone. I also live so far out in the sticks that I have enough land to actually do so. Not only that but it's a pathetic .22 that can't hardly punch a hole through both sides of a tin can. So don't go on some sort of "BAWWWW YOU'RE ENDANGERING YOUR NEIGHBORS" spiel.[/footnote] on hand to entertain myself.

lol I need a hobby. One of my main problems is that I just moved to a new town and don't have a job yet and don't start school until fall semester. So I literally know nobody. I hate hanging out at bars too. Not a good place to meet people imo.

It's true that traditional RPGs require a lot of patience, esp if you don't have much time to play games. You should give Deus Ex a try though.

Or, you could just drop gaming for a few months, and come back fresh.

Yea, I still play games with friends. I play TF2, Magicka, and Terraria. I just can't stay attached to the game for some reason. Like the other day I was playing LFD2 with friends and just left the game early caused I was so bored of it lol. Sounds so depressing.

Buy a Park Flyer RC aircraft, pop down to the field and go nuts. 99-150 bucks total investment, and you'll meet plenty of cool guys young and old. You might also want to pop by the RC racetrack, but you've got a 50/50 chance of meeting a cool headed RCer or the all-out douchebag who likes to brag about being 0.00000001 seconds faster racing toy cars.

Might look into that. Right now the only thing I do outside is wash my car and take care of it.

Hmmm... Are you playing the games in the same room or just online? I find proximity to hilarious friends never fails to amuse me. Online hilarity isn't as awesome as hilarity in the same room.
