Born in the wrong time?

Have you Escapists ever felt like you were born in the wrong time? Like you were supposed to live years in the past?

Indeed I have. I do not quite like this time period; often, I feel as if I should have lived in the 1800s, or the 1400s.

Oh ,no you don't I am not getting sucked into this topic again, the last time I did that people said I was wrong for wanting to be around to do some exploring on the high seas, or when we are able to actually travel in space.

i should have been born either in the early 80s/ late 70s to enjoy gaming at its prime in the N64/PS2/baldurs gate generation before adult responsibilities would pull me away, or the 40s/50s where i could enjoy jazz and gender inequality to their fullest.

Sometimes i wish i was back in the old days of the 30's or 50's since back then people were decent enough and not like most are today when they go about blaming their problems on games and media.

So long as you happen to be in the ethnic majority and at least the working financial class for your area... Not that I'd have had anything to worry about there, but the principle of the thing... *shudders*

Actually you raise a good point there about wanting to be born during the time of hunter gatherers since back then there was no stupid laws and people were not as thick as they are now and there was no capitalsim and communism and no easy kill nukes.

its one of those things that comes to mind sometimes but really the past was shit, the present is where you want to live, its much better for everyone

Hell no. This era is FANTASTIC.

We fly on multi-ton vehicles, most of us have cars that can drive over 100 MPH, we cna construct objects so small you can't see them, we fly in space and send objects hurtling to other planets.

Do you realize just how fucking awesome we are?
