The problem is that blanket boycotts don't work. They send the wrong message to the company. If sales drop across the board, they won't be able to figure out what exactly caused it. Sure, there's this boycott that started over the Xbox One, but that couldn't possibly account for all of these lost sales on Windows 8, could it? No, what we need to do is boycott the product that we are unsatisfied with. Boycott the Xbox One diligently. Do not buy one, do not encourage others to buy one, do not buy games for it, even for friends. If Microsoft sees a disproportionately large loss of profits from the Xbox One, then they will know that's where they done fucked up.
So, if anything, we should boycott the Xbox One. You know, the console that we already weren't going to buy.
