Bragging Rights: What's the most incredible shot you've made?

For me it was a real life shot.

Wait, *DSCLAMER* In Australa rabbits are a serious pest. They cost our economy millions, plus our native flora and fauna terribly. I also skin, clean and eat the rabbits I shoot. So, please, no vegitarian hate vibes, nor 'Ooooh! You can't shoot a buuuuh-neeee!'

Anyways. I was using a .223 bolt action with open sights, hunting rabbits. I came upon a warren and there were several rabbits munching grass in the sun. So, at about 80 meters I lined one up and got a clean kill.

Naturally, the rest scattered for their bolt holes. I slapped the bolt, aimed at another on the lead and shot it clean through the head. Good but not great. What made it great was that at the very moment I squeezed the trigger, another was bolting in the opposite direction and I hit them BOTH clean, through the head with one shot.

So, tell us Escapists... What's your most incredible shot? It can be with a real weapon or in-game, your choice.

IRL

Shot a wood chuck that was at a dead sprint, off hand @ 80 yards with a .30-06 (pest control)

Hit a 3'x 3' board at 600 yards with an open sighted K98.

Shooting snuff cans at 75 yards with an open sighted .22LR... off hand, with my weak side.

Shaving cream can with an AK-47. Wasn't a hard shot, but the can blew up and scattered shaving cream everywhere. <- highly recommended reactive target. Cheap to.

Oh, and playing golf. You know, you and a buddy each have a golf ball, pick a target (hole) and shoot your golf ball from 20+ yards away and try to bounce it to hit the target (usually a rock or something.)


Yeah, I shoot all the time. My friends think some of my other shots were alot cooler, but these are the ones I felt proudest of.

Playing GTAIV, using an RPG, I shot down a police helicopter which then landed on a speeding cop car.

In Call of Duty 4, I sniped a guy and hit the guy behind him. The bullet then continued through a wall to hit a pack of C4 and kill two other guys.

Cries of "HACKER!" were heard.

Unfortunately I have no real life stories.

In real life I've hit the-thing-next-to-the-bulls-eye with a long bow from 70 yards is the only thing I can think of that's kinda cool, because most people around here use a compound/crossbow with sights. Nothing in video games. Sadly I'm a better shot in real life...

20 yards with a .22 rifle shooting at a pumpkin. I hit it just right that it went through the skin on the top and created a groove that went from front to back. The sides of the groove were cold while the bottom of it was melted.

I can shoot five rounds through the same hole with a .22 at 40 yards with open sights.

None in real life but in a video game it would probably be in Battlefield 1943. I was just sitting on one of the towers at the Airfield on Wake Island. I saw some guy running around at the end of one of the points (map is shaped like a horseshoe). I went into my scope and randomly fired and got a hit marker. I decided to try again just for the hell of it and managed to kill him on the second shot.

IRL: A 100 yd shot with a 12 gauge that ripped open a gallon of water like a ripe mellon.

In a game: A triple boucne headshot with the sniper rifle in Halo 3. I was proud of myself after that one.

well id have to say IRL, shooting a wooden arrow that i made myself, with duct tape feathers, 15 to 20 meters so that it stuck in a tree.

Oh, yeah. I'll post this cos it TOTALLY rates a mention.

IRL: I saw an Ausie S.A.S. seargent stand on the 300m mound, with his back to the target. Cocked, spun and unloaded 30 single shot rounds in 10-15 sec flat. He hit dead centre with less than 20mm of spread (around 2/3").

I was suitably impressed.

When I was young, I used to attend a daycare after school. As soon as I would get there, I'd sprint to game sign-ups so I could put my name on this list for playing an SNES for twenty minutes. This particular day, we (the kids) had organized a little tournament for the original Mario Kart: a simple battle royal on battle course 4 (the plain road stage), two at a time we played, until there were only two of us left.

It was a grueling fight.

We were each down to a single balloon each, and item squares were scarce. We both raced over separate squares on opposite ends of the map. It felt very much like a wild west shoot-out: whatever we got from these squares would decide the winner. He got a red shell.

I got a banana peel.

Everybody was going ape-shit! "What!" I shouted, "A dumb BANANA PEEL?!" I immediately launched it to frantically search the board for an unspent square. But I didn't need to worry... the damn thing landed on him.

I feel I need to impress upon you youngsters just how difficult it was to aim those fucking banana peels from Super Mario Kart.

It was sooo difficult. Like, SUPER difficult.

I shotdown a Care drop helicopter and the package droped out and killed a enemy player in Call of duty Black Ops.

Thats as good as it's going to get for me.

i suppose ingame stuff would be things like headshotting invisible spies as sniper in tf2, or missing a headshot on one guy but getting it on a different guy near them
