Sooooo...what's up with the Branston Pickles? I hear the product name in the Zero Punctuation reviews on occasion and was wondering what they were (You know, besides the obvious "They're pickles, duh" thing). I've never seen them before, but then again, I'm American and have never been out of the country. What makes them different from any other brand of pickles you get in a jar? Enlightenment, please. :)

OOOOHHHHH....So, then I was thinking that it was a jar of just pickled cucumbers/gherkins (pickles), but it's actually a bunch of pickled foods. I've never heard cucumbers called gherkins before.

It's a vile, disgusting condiment that some people put on cheese sandwiches. I can't stand the sight of the stuff.
