Not sure whether it's sheer boredom or sheer briliiance but an idea just occured to me.

Portal + Assassin's creed brother hood = Hidden Portal gun.

Imagine the assassinations you could pull off.

What about you Forum? any ideas?

And yes, brilliant ideas means crazy ideas

A game like Marvel v.s. Capcom where you can have any fictional characters fight each other.

Like: Batman v.s. Commander Shepard.

Sherlock Holmes v.s. Superman

Jesus Christ (since his existence is debatable, he's only available every other day) v.s. Jonas Venture Jr.

etc.

RTS + Super Heroes = Unbalanced Multiplayer.

Imagine the "DC Barracks", "Marvel Beastiary " and the "Undead Hero Crypt".

A large scale (imagine a GTA style maps but everywhere is accessible) online zombie survial game. Where the rules are simple, survive. If you die, you become a zombie and have to hunt down other players. Rounds would last about a week, log in and out whenever you want, but better make sure your barricades are strong because you can still be killed offline.

Why do you keep posting that picture? Also low content posts might get you banned, or at least a warning.
I just think it's funny. I hope I'm not offending anybody, because I certainly don't mean to and I'm not trying to be a nuisance. If you think it's best that I hold off or drop it, then I will.

not sure i'd call it a "crazy" idea but how about a JRPG that after the swooshy transition to a fight instead of a turn based menu driven combat it is a fully realised beat em up in the style of SF4 or MvC3

I was just curious about the picture and also wanted to warn you. Ya know to help out.

Most of the ideas that are discussed in Extra Credits. I wanted a "film noir" gangster version of GTA, but it looks like I may just get one of those this year

RTS prequel to Avatar where you fight as generals of all 4 nations. Including Iroh's journey into the sprit world and the exact circumstances of his son's death and an Air campaign showing Aang's flight, their last defense and fall. The fire campaign being narrated by Azula and Water campaign being narrated by Kitara, Air by Aang and Earth by Toph.

Not sure about a week, but a zombie survival MMO like that would be awesome. And you don't choose a character/class selection, you are shaped by in game decisions that you make, like how many people you save etc. Instead of "dungeons" you can compete in "last man standing" events like you described

Actually I've noticed the mods are a lot more reasonable in their approaches to post content these days. They seem to take in to consideration the over-arching meaning and whether adding anything would necessary 'contribute' to the content that is already there.

As for my brilliant idea -
All RPGs have a new game+ by compulsion, with certain things taken in to account (IE, Batman's Gadgets still distributed normally in Arkham Asylum for standard game progression)

Kinda like the Tales series, then?

My crazy idea is already taken. Zombie outbreak in Tokyo, AND a guy with a machine gun arm? Hell yeah. I love Japan...

Now seems like the place to reveal my grand, yet impossible, idea on the world.
It's a AAA action/adventure game that puts players in control of Eddie the Head, and lets you play through every stage of his existence and ties every single Iron Maiden album/single cover together into one chronology. Just imagine it, terrorise villages in ancient Egypt before someone tries to put you down. You wake up as a mummy years later, and set about continuining your anti-heroics/outright villainy (depending on the story that would allow all this to take place) in times and places like WW2, the grimy London backalleys of the first two album covers and right up The Final Frontier.

Brilliant Idea - Play as Iron Maiden and slowly make the game more and more mundane to match their musical progression.

A game where you are a dinosaur with a jetpack fighting against the pesky human race. You can never have enough jetpacks and dinosaurs.

This, hell, level 2 - 'Killers' lets you kill Margaret Thatcher with an axe, it'd sell millions! The idea has legs tho, 70s-80s London, Ancient Egypt, futuristic space, Crimean and World Wars, insane asylums, the levels could be as varied as 'Painkiller'.

Of course there was 'Ed Hunter' but I heard that was pretty damned awful :D
