I'll agree the 2nd was turd, but I thought the first was awesome. Well, the 2nd one wasn't a complete failure (imo) but it lacked that something 'Bender's Big Score' had. Still had it's moments, but not as much overall 'wow factor'.varulfic post=18.72073.746683 said:Firefly and Futurama are awesome. The Futurama movies are horribly bad though, so much that I've lost interest in seeing more of the show since I'm sure they will just do what the movies did, that is go in circles. The problem with Futurama is that the story never progresses forward, every episode starts with Leela turning down Fry, then at the end of the episode, we see them getting closer, teasing us with the idea that they might start dating. Then it's back to square one. In season 5 it was tolerable, since it still felt like we were making baby steps, but then the movies come out and we find that we are standing still. Not that their relationship is that interesting, but it's still frustrating how the writers just keep beating the same dead horse until we're sick of the sight.
Don't give Spelberg ideas please, he remakes enoughSouplex post=18.72073.746736 said:The Spielberg cartoons.

Gee Brain, what are we going to do tonight?
The same thing we do every night Pinky... TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

Yeah, they are. Now that's my bit of good news! Stop stealing it!Johnn Johnston post=18.72073.746840 said:Oh, god, I hope so.needausername post=18.72073.746725 said:They haven't stopped futurama, they making a new season after the films (I think)TheGreenManalishi post=18.72073.746719 said:futurama
Does anyone else remember Robot Wars? That show ruled!
I can't believe I forgot that.TheGhostOfSin post=18.72073.746568 said:M.E.G.A.S XLR neends to come back.
I had almost forgotten about the first Futurama movie. Yeah, it was alright, the story was funny because it was so insanely convoluted, making nearly every single character play some part of it, and although it wasn't quite as fun as the show I liked it, it was decent. The second one was a complete failure, the idea was fine but the execution was embarrassing.dannydamage post=18.72073.746893 said:I'll agree the 2nd was turd, but I thought the first was awesome. And back to Angel (sorry I shortened the quote), but I agree the ending was good. But there was quite a bit left open. Angel and Spike had only just managed to work together (allied as equals) and along with Illyria, they'd become quite a force to be reckoned with.
Even if they just did a film of the final battle (opening with Angel vs. Dragon) and they all got wiped out in the final battle, I'd be happy. Especially if they fought the 'Keep-safe' that was under Wolfram & Hart as we never got to see that big beasty.![]()
(goes on about Angel)varulfic post=18.72073.749986 said:The percieved openedness of Angel's ending is what makes it so brilliant.Thoughout the episode, they repeatedly tell us that their enemies cannot be defeated, and it's stated several times that they will not make it out alive. They just want to fuck up their plans enough to delay the apocalypse. And indeed, in the end they are cornered, outnumbered with seemingly no chance of survival. If they shot the actual battle it would ruin it for me, I love how the gang is left with no hope and we get to decide if they went out in a blaze or glory, or if they were saved by whatever deus ex machina.
Also, the death of Wesley is be the best death scene since Jenny Calendar in season 2 of Buffy. I wouldn't want to undo that death scene, since it's so spectacular, but I wouldn't want a season of Angel without Wesley since he's my favorite character. So, yeah.
