Smirnoff is ALWAYS appropriate
Not Smirnoff north. That shit is never appropirate. It tastes like blue slushees mixed with artificial sweetener and mouth water.
Oh HELL no, good point. No just as long as it's classic red label, 'triple distilled for purity' then it's all good. The black stuff is okay too.

OT: That's usually what I bring, but if I'm low on cash I sometimes go halves with someone on cans of cider if they're on offer at Tesco :D

I drank one yesterday. Cost me about 45? *sadface*
But yeah, bring jäger, and maybe mix it with red bull, if you're keen on seeing hyperactive underagers.
Whaat, where do you live? And mixing jager with red bull makes me cringe, cola or peach ice tea works best.

I can't believe people around the world know so little about drinks :) In Slovenia, everyone basically knows what and how to drink, from the lowliest geeks, to the nasty alcoholics.
Beer always works, no matter what, wine is second best (where I come from almost every family has their small vineyard, so everyone brings a couple of liters of their homebrew wine, tastes hella good, but you can get a couple of bottles of tasty wine for very cheap. mix with cola, or drink by itself), jager, vodka, rum and whiskey. These drinks always work and that's just the top of my head. You can find the nastiest drink in your nearest store and bring that and dare people to drink it (anything made from wormwood plants-cheap, perhaps even absinthe if you have the cash). Find this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pelinkovac and I dare you to drink it. Gets you pretty wasted though.

EDIT: If you want to get a drink for the girls or people who don't enjoy alcohol much (yourself included), get Malibu rum. It's a very sweet drink, you can barely taste the alcohol.

Nothing. Cheap fuckers should buy booze if they're organising shit.

If they're underage, dilute some vodka, they won't care unless they think it's strong.

Don't expect to share your booze. I was at a rager one time and decided to leave early, and figured I'd just pass my drink off to some pretty girl; unfortunately, they thought I was trying to roofie them.

If it were me I would just bring stuff for me to drink and maybe a extra bottle of something to share. If they're underage then tough they can't have any.

Thanks guys I have a bit more of an idea now. Id say the cans are the way to go. I was thinking that if i bring a large bottle of something i might not have anything to pour it into lol... Would the vodka be overdoing it as well do you reckon? Im not that used to drink really

If you wanna make friends bring a bottle of jager and pour shots out wherever you go.
Whats kind of drink is that? is it expensive?
About ?20-25 for a 70cl bottle where I live.

It's a german liqueur, sorta syrupy in texture, and tastes like black liquorish.
ah that explains why I hated it.
I once threw half a liter down my throat, I should've poured it into shots.

Noted lol. Does that come in small or big bottles? I was under the impression you just mixed it with vodka or something? I really have no clue XD

I still cant believe that everyone would bring just a sixpack to a BYOB party. And what is he supposed to drink after the first hour?
I personly dont like vodka and other hard stuff. Except a good whiskey now or then or perhaps some captain morgan with vanilla coke. SO i would bring exactly as much beer as i can afford or transport at given time. If there is really nothing but the stuff you bring i wont go with less than 5 litres. Even if thats too much for you its enough to share a bit. I usually took my backpack filled with about 12 bottles 0.5 litres each. That most of the times worked out.

Personally I always go with 2 x 2 litre bottle of energy drink + 1 large bottle of vodka.

Any brand, you wont taste it too much. Start the night drinking about a quater/half of each bottle of energy drink, then throw the vodka in. Mix it up a bit and you have the ultimate party drink. Carry round a bottle of it, and offer a few people a swig. Makes friends, and you have enough for 3 people easily. All for aout £15. Bargin.

Not really, its just beer and usually a long night. Between 8p.m. and 6 a.m. you need some liquid if you dont want to dehydrate ;)

I don't like lending out beers to people, I mean it's a whole can you're giving away and I only ever bring enough for myself. With a spirit like vodka or whiskey you only have to give them a shot to tide them over which is nothing so you still get to keep loads for yourself whilest not looking like a tight bastard for not sharing drinks. I'm in luck though at parties, with my taste in beers no one ever wants any of mine. It's all bitters and ales, all my friends drink is cheap lagers and cider.

It's a german liquer made from herbs. Usefull in winter since it makes you warm inside. Nothing beats a nice shot of Jägermeister after a long skitrip. I've seen 1L bottles for 10 - 20 Euroes depending where you live. Try it:)

Everclear with some kind of Hawaiian Punch mix in it. They'll get plastered quick and enjoy it.

Anything you want would do, though in my experience, not enough people provide drinks outside the "lager" family to these things. It may be more costly, but a few bottles of Jack Daniels and some Pepsi would be recieved with much grattitude, and maybe some Malibu for those there who don't like wiskey.

Seems to me like most underage drinkers care less about taste and more about what will get them more shitfaced more quickly. Bring the cheapest stuff you have.

...I haven't been to any drunken parties, so I don't know for sure.
Fixed it.
