I need advice. After watching Yahtzees Oblivion review and it reminding me that I've loved Morrowind's story and unique fantasy world more than I ever liked Oblivion's I want help to get it working again.

I stopped playing it and even got rid of it because after the third time I reinstalled it after a month or so playing it would crash to desktop after 15 or mins in game. It's always been patched to the latest version and I've even gotten the unofficial patches for it and still did not fix it.

I got a Nvidia 8800 (GS or something) videocard last year so I was hoping that would fix it but nope. These are my system specs:
AMD Athalon Dual Core Processor 5200+
2.61 GHz
2.00 GB of RAM
Is there anything wrong with my computer settings or is Morrowind just an unstable game?

Microsoft XP Media Center Edition.
why would you be running that? normal xp is fine for games, media center is useless and probly causing your issue, especially if it's not a legit copy

but i'd say you have driver issues

Really? Guess I shouldn't have trusted mom when she told me 'this computer is the best kind of gaming computer there is'... How hard is it to change it to the regular version of xp? And by drivers do you the software my videocard uses? Cause I downloaded the software for my Nvidia 8800.

Well, there are the three most likely culprits.

1- Your OS either naff, incompatible, or out of date.
2- Drivers being out of date (or possibly just a hardware incompatibility, but I doubt that)
3- Your disk is naffed.
