Bringing back Rayman...

I'm sure alot of you remember the original Rayman. That game was amazing! The art & the music was so good, and unique. The second one, in my opinion, wasn't as good as the first but it was still great. The 3rd one, i thought was amazing, but still not as good as the first... But then again, you can't compare a 2d game to a 3d game, there completely different aswell. There were some spin-offs... And then came the worst of them all. The Raving Rabbid Series. God it's awful...

But, i'm not here to talk about old Rayman games!

A new Rayman game called Ryaman Origins got announced at E3 i think it was? And it's going to be a downloadable game if my knowledge serves me correctly? If you havn't already seen the trailer, watch it - > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvhwWXF-LfU

What are your opinions on them reviving the ACTUAL Rayman? I think the game looks really good. I know it isn't going to be like the first one, because developers obviously need to change there games otherwise they would all be the same. The new style is really appealing to me aswell. Everyone looks like there stupid. I know some of you might have different opinions to that kind of style, but i think it looks like it could be a really funny game.

What do you think of this?

I liked Rayman back on the PSX. When I was in day-care, that was all everyone wanted to play. I don't remember which one it was, or maybe it was the original, but there was a mosquito-esque boss (possibly the FIRST boss) and Rayman would dance after beating him.
As for bringing him back? I don't know, personally I think that it's a chapter of gaming history that should be left its dignity. I liked it, but I'm not so sure the original Rayman-style would stand up these days.

I remember playing the first one, and loving it. I had the game, but could never finish it... I kept getting killed later in the game.
But it was unique, weird and was very comical, although it was slightly hard for my little self.

And after watching that trailer... I now have an urge to play Rayman...

Hell, why not just make one starring Globox? It could be the story told from his point of view, showing how he slowly breaks under the humiliation of how Rayman spent half the bloody game punching him the stomach and laughing at the sound it made.... Or maybe that was just me.

Im not sure how I feel about this, but there's definately a dearth of good platformers on the xbox so this could be good for a quick fix at the very least.

I know what you mean, i never got far! But now, as i have grew older, my timed jumping skills and general platforming know how have evolved!... It is do-able... I MUST FIND IT!

The fact that literally everything kills you, that you have limited lives, that it's incredibly hard, and the closest thing you get to friendly interaction is that damn fairy floating down now and then to give you 1 new power which ends up being a necessity as opposed to a bonus, and then withholds all the other powers which would help SO FUCKING MUCH.

Whenever i play i get this horrible feeling that the world is out to get me, and i hate that there are thousands of creatures whose sole purpose in life is to stand in one space until rayman comes near them and then fight until their dying breath in a desperate bid to kill him and stop him from saving the world.

Also, i don't like the sound effects.
