So i cant transfer data from my old hardrive into the new one?DraconianKing said:Well unless you're getting the elite purely for the HDMI stuff, send your box in to Microsoft for repair/replacement. However, if you also want the huge drive, then you should just buy the Elite and start your games over.
You can get a hard drive transfer kit from Microsoft here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/systemuse/xbox360/console/datamigration.htm (Check the bottom for a link to the form.) You will need to provide serial numbers for BOTH Xboxes, though.GackleBlax said:So i cant transfer data from my old hardrive into the new one?DraconianKing said:Well unless you're getting the elite purely for the HDMI stuff, send your box in to Microsoft for repair/replacement. Unless you have been a naughty boy and tampered with it.

If you have Xbox Live, you can recover your gamertag, but all that does is carry over your gamerscore and online stats. Your saved games and downloaded content are still on your hard drive, and you need a transfer cable for that. Did I mention the transfer kit is free if you send in that form?GackleBlax said:So if I have xbox live i wont need the hardrive transfer kit?Von Faceless said:as long as you recover your gamer tag you'll be ok, think it has to be a live account tho
Funny! No it still happens constantly. I think it's best if you just think about it like a car. It's just its yearly maintenance.Duh said:so the xbox 360 is stil having 3RL problems? werent they suposed to , you know, have fixed that by now?
