PC Players - It's been re-released, please post any problems you find on the Bethesda Forum.

Per Microsoft, keep playing Broken Steel, and the Achievements should post when Microsoft fixes the problem.

***

It's Out !!! Serious Problems with PC version/very few problems with XBox version:

All PC players, hold off on ordering the Broken Steel DLC from GFWL till further notice, Corrupt File.

360 Players: Ingame errors after DLC download include Liberty Prime not responding, Sarah Lyons not responding, DLC assuming Main Quest completed when DLC activated.

Achievements not posting to Master Account.

DLC still playable with these errors.

One person reported a Raider turning into a dog and barking at him. He was probably kidding, but just in case I requested a vid of this in action, and promise if I get a vid of it - it will be the Vid of the Week !!!

Original Post:

Broken Steel release date has been set for May 5, I can't wait! As you know, it will add 10 levels to the game and make it open ended - Thank You Beth Soft !!! Some details about the (sounds huge) DLC are in this interview:

May 5 Broken Steel! [http://kotaku.com/5219643/fallout-3-delivers-puppies-on-may-5]

The Elder Scrolls book series will begin it's release this fall, I can't wait! Hope this doesn't end the writing contests for TES, I've got a new one for this years contest!

They said there won't be a game any time soon, which makes me sad face, but I'm interested in the books.

I saw that. Pete sure is backtracking from all the previous interviews last year where he promised TESV by 2010 !!! I think he is just snowing now because he slipped up last week and let us know something about new content for Oblivion. I hope by new content he wasn't talking about the books, because in the interview last week he was discussing DLC and the size being KOT9 or MR sized DLC - leading all who read it to believe he meant new Oblivion DLC, not books! However, I have seen some awesome Oblivion stories in the contests, and have written one myself for this years contest - plus have read a good deal of the original Elder Scrolls lore, and it is Awesome! So I hope these books are great!

the GOTY edition with DLC already on it should come out shortly after the final DLC, (I know how bethesda thinks) so I wouldn't recommend buying the game until then, if you haven't already.

Or buy it now for the console, and buy the GOTY for the PC, etc. Lol.

The books seem more like a kick in the face to me. "oh you cant have a new game but here have some books that wont be able to replicate the experience in anyway" i actually prefered finding out the lore of Tamriel from the in-game books. it felt more immersive that it was all in-game and actually gave it a much more effective mythology in my opinion

The GOTY has gone on presale, it will have two expansions: Brotherhood of Steel and something called Point Look !!

I did a topic on it, but will add it here as well:

Well the GOTY has started taking Pre-Orders, and it will have two expansions, one being the Brotherhood of Steel, and the other being Point Look! What is Point Look? You may well ask, but Pete Hines is not telling yet. Brotherhood of Steel has to be on there in order to continue your game after the Main Questline ends, of course; but Point Look has not even been hinted at yet in any interviews! Wonder what it will be like!

Here are some details on BOS :

Plus Interplay may be losing it's rights to the Fallout MMO, they were not able to come up with the 30 million after all it seems.

I was hoping they would do the original lore from the game and put it in book form, but these books apparently are after Oblivion, so don't have the original lore anyway. I loved the original lore, it was riveting! So now if they make a movie of it, we won't get to see what we already know, but someone else's version of what it may turn into. I am not thrilled either about the books now that I found out more about them. When I thought they would be the whole original story I was about to bust from excitement. Now I am really not that hyped.

May 5th is Cinco De Mayo. Does that have something to do with Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls?

Celebrate Mexican culture with food, dance, and Fallout 3. I know I was just kidding.

In Broken Steel the battle between the Brotherhood of Steel and the Enclave still rages and you are tasked with discovering and helping to build a Tesla Canon, a new, more powerful weapon for the Brotherhood.

A tesla canon seriously? i thought Optimus sentinel prime was powerful enough.

Like all the Fallout 3 dlc, Broken steel is only on the 360 and PC, very sad for those who own the PS3 version, I'm just glad I got it for the 360 instead.
well thaks for the help, even if i cant play it :(
I don't know why Bethesda don't release dlc on the PS3, none of the content for Oblivion made it to the PS3 either, I think I once heard something about them having trouble with the Playstation network, something to do with ram and bandwith and other things I don't for the life of me understand.
