Broken Universe is an RP I'll be starting up at some point soon, it encompasses sci-fi, fantasy and general fiction. Relevant words are in the boxes below.

Mervyn Peake, the worlds greatest and most prolific novelist is dying, a debilitating disease combined with his advanced age have left him unable to move, confined to his hospital bed he has begun composing his life's greatest work. In it a group of adventurers travel across a vast universe, encountering strange beasts and trials that will test their capabilities. Peake has most of the major events and characters laid out, and has begun to recap to ensure everything fits and flows.
The story begins on The Pilgrims Moon, its name derived from the huge streams of worshipers arriving daily to venerate the artifacts gathered from every religion across the galaxy. The characters have each had a series of recurring dreams. Their meanings were unclear but they felt a strange force pulling them to a specific location on the moon. They arrived at the same time, finding nothing they relocated to a nearby bar, empty apart from the barman. The barman has a job he needs doing on the planet orbited by The Pilgrims Moon, and the group of strangers who've just wandered in look suitable.
In the hospital Peakes mind is weakening, the worlds his works were set in have begun to fuse together, alien planets, earths with alternate histories and even our own, are appearing in orbit in his final work, out of place and time, but no one bats an eyelid, ruptures and inconsistencies are frequent but unnoticed and 'reality' itself is somewhat unstable.[/spoiler]

This RP is set in SPACE (as if that wasn't obvious) and you are a swarthy adventurer, of what kind (bounty hunter, smuggler, archaeologist, interplanetary mailman) is up to you. You will venture to worlds old and new in search of your hearts desire (whatever that is). There will be action, adventure and really wild things. And swashbuckling. In space. Spacebuckilng?
You will visit planets more advanced than yours, less advanced than yours, and our very own planet earth. You will fight crime and the law, save some worlds, and doom others. In time your wanderings take on a meaning as you discover your hearts desire lies at the end of them, wherever that might be.
In this adventure inspired by the Singing Detective, Homestuck, Gormenghast and too many other things you will undertake some quests that are serious and some that are silly, depending on how I'm feeling.
"But Paddy the Second, how can I take part?" You shouldn't even need to ask that should you. Just PM or post in the thread one these here character sheets filled in by your own good selves and I'll pick a number in 4-6 range.
