Brutal Legend demo overview

There is only one word to describe this game...BADASS.

Here's a quick overview of my thoughts in the brutal legend demo, out NOW!

Pros:

Tim & Jack put together
Heavy metal, b****es1
Nice combat system
Original idea
Good cutscenes

Cons:

Vehicle controls not amazing
While there are good cutscenes, they go on for a bit.
BOSS FIGHTS

so far, i give it 8/10, which is very generous for a demo.

Well it is only a demo, and really it depends on what you would call a review. Although it seems that The Escapist definition of a review is a long in-depth product critique thoroughly explaining the pros and cons to convince people to make a decision; you can technically call a list of pros and cons a review.

I also liked the demo, and disliked it for the same reasons. The cut scenes were too long, however it was neat how the gore and cussing options were given to you mid cutscene. The vehicle boss battle where you had to ride around in circles was terrible though. I think I'm going to wait until Christmas for this one.

I agree, I would hope that a pro's and con's list is a rather universal value and even more hopefully someones "specialty".
As for me, I don't think Tim Schaffer is all that great a games designer so I'll ignore all the praise this time around, which I unfortunately did not do with psychonauts.

You can't at least try the demo? It may be a gig and a half, but it's free, while actually being a good demo that's long enough to give you a good sense of the game.

Did anyone here play the PS3 version of the demo, and if so, did anyone else spot some issues with the graphics? I had some screen tearing once or twice, and it occasionally seemed like the framerate sputtered a bit--it wasn't really bad, but just enough to be noticeable. Did the 360 version do that, too?
