Just finished it and i cant wipe the smile off my face.. awesome soundtrack (sabbath in opening few minutes?) and a genuinely hilarious sense of humour.. its almost like tenacious d the game

would have posted in the best use of celerity thread but thought it deserved its own
anyone else planning on getting it?

p.s i did do a search, and didnt find any other topics on this, sorry if there is one..

I liked the demo too roll on rocktober 16th!!! (13th for you lucky yanks) the soundtrack does indeed kick ass,as does the gameplay ,doubt it`ll be enough to sway anyone who didn`t like it in the first place though

I played the demo and thought the combat was to crappy, so i'll pass. Plus, there is a lot of music on the OST that i wouldn't enjoy(Sabbath being one of the artists), so this game is a pass. it's a shame, too, after the awesomeness that was Psychonauts. At least the humor was good.

yeah, as awesome as it is, i figure a rent is the best option.. just get yourself a nice baggie and rock the weekend

Will get way to repetative in the future and the only reason i could see myself playing it was just to get the few laughs Jack Black and others can other and for the metal gimmick. Other than that, i dont really find it as an amazing, ground breaking, new-dawn of gaming type of game.
Tl;dr - its a rental for laughs.

I thought is was one of the funniest, epic game openings I have seen.
I loved the shitty band and the self narration, and how they get you to choose whether you want gore and profanity.
Definate buy.

You know, I'm going to download the demo, but I just don't see the appeal. I suppose if I thought Jack Black was even slightly amusing I guess I'd understand, or am I missing something here?

I very much enjoyed the demo and Im stuck between Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend.

I liked the Demo though. Very funny, Great music and the combat was okay. The driving was a bit shite though.

I also almost died from laughing at this point.

I've played it about 20 times since it took its place above all else in my Game Library. Freaking loved every minute.

I really liked the humor etc. but the gameplay just wasn't all that good...
Also, I just couldn't find a nice angle for the camera, and everytime I got close, some perspective change or anything else happened to make it reset. Basically, it'd be a rent if anybody even rented games here in this shith- ehm, small country called holland...
