Honestly I can't wait for this game to come out and I will be incredibly peeved off if Activision delays it. Jack Black as a rocker ala Tenacious D + psychonauts = one happy geek

Scarily siding with EA this time.
Activision won't win because EA has a.) Deeper pockets=Better Lawyers b.) The rights to the game.

Can't believe that I'm siding with EA, but this is pretty ridiculous... It almost sounds like Activision doesn't want anyone to publish Brutal Legend. They're just being douche-bags now....
Exactly what I think. Thank god EA are only publishing it and not developing it. Can't Activision leave Double Fine alone and let us enjoy a wonderful game?

Man I don't care who wins, I hope they sue and the case goes for years with millions and millions in spending on the trial and one or both of the companies go bankrupt.

The thing is, Brutal Legend is almost/already finished. EA just want to hold it back till October time or so to get a bit of hype going and get people into this new IP.

I can understand why they'd be cautious. Tim freaking Shafter's games aren't know for their commercial success.

Looks to me like Activision is just being a ***** because they turned down Brutal Legend and EA took over. The ex-husband sounds good but it seems to me like the kid who throws away a toy, but won't let anyone else play with it. It isn't that they want to be rid of it, they just don't want it to exist anymore if they can't benefit from it.

It's just in this instance, they've been outdouched by Activision.
For some reason, that sentence brings me inexplicable joy.

Either way, I agree with EA for once. Hopefully if they do get a hold of Brutal Legend, they won't shittify it as only EA can.

The sad thing is that if you just throw money at that giant Charybdis it'll hush up. They just want more money. Nom nom nom nom.
Feed me, Seymour!

The battle for the throne of supreme evil game dev. is underway, with Brutal Legend at stake. Who will survive? Details at 6.

And EA is usually the evil ones.
You realize that Activision was more evil all along.

Activision was attracted to Blizzard just so it could feed off the shattered lives that WOW creates.
And Blizzard accepted their deal so they're just as complicit
No, I think Blizzard are trying to get inside Activision so they can work against the machine from its weak point.
The reckless fools, couldn't they have just aimed for the thermal exhaust port at the top?
Thermal exhaust port at the top?, that is the greatest analogy for Bobby Kotick ever.

Look, I just want to play this game OK. I don't care who publishes it, EA or Activision. As long as I get to play it I'm happy.

I say that if Activision actually goes through with this lawsuit (and wins) that we, the gaming community, should rise as one and slay Bobby Kotick, the man from which all this bullshit has originated... That or just beat the shit out of him either is good.
