"Thanks Jamie" Marcus said as he gulped the tablet down. "I don't mean to waste medical supplies either but since I am doing a spacewalk I'd rather be stepping outside with a clear head than not".

He turned to meet the four man retrieval team after the captain's debrief. "Hang on, am I the only one a bit bothered about this?. This is a point of no return!!, we are going to step outside the safety of the ship, into open space, near a star with a strong gravitational field. I don't know about you but I am a bit apprehensive about the whole thing" he muttered as he walked towards the rear of the ship.

Meeting up with Jamie who had returned with hazard suits, he looked about apprehensively. "I hope everyone knows what they are doing!" with a silent gulp he put on the protective gear and helmet. It had been a while since they had used a hazard suit, the strong smell of the chemical fabric and the sheer weight of the suit caught him by surprise. "God this is heavy!" Marcus was not in a good mood as he connected the bits and pieces of the suit. Just as he did up the last strap the built in power supply kicked in and a computer generated image was projected on to his visor.

Oxygen Saturation - 100%
Biometric Shields - 100%
Battery power-100%

"Well the suits work!" he called out via the radio in his helmet. "Can you guys hear me?. Are the communication devices working?"

Jamie turned to Marcus. He looked a lot different in his heavy, dark suit but he was still slightly recognisable in the dusty visor. These suits really hadn't been used for a long time.

"Can you guys hear me?. Are the communication devices working?"

"Loud and clear, Marcus." He responded. "Can you hear me?"

Mark put the hazard suit on, the suit was fully charged and Mark was ready,

"Communication systems are working fine, all systems are go. How is the cargo hold? Is it empty yet?" Mike fiddled with the suit, "Should we go over the plan?"

"Receiving you loud and clear Jamie!" Marcus fiddled with his bootstraps, either his shoes had shrunk in size or his feet had swollen.

"Communication systems are working fine, all systems are go. How is the cargo hold? Is it empty yet?" Mike fiddled with the suit, "Should we go over the plan?"Mike said suddenly.

Marcus looked up with what would have been easily recognized as a quizzical expression, if the helmet was not already fastened on. "Plan?" he echoed. "Well...that's a good point!. What is the plan?" he looked around and decided to answer it himself.

"How about we wait till Roach brings us to the coordinates, then we seal the cargo hold, de-pressurize it, open the external doors, me and Mike will attach guide ropes to ourselves and we'll step out. You and Walter make sure the guide ropes remain attached to the ship and make room for our crate. We will try to find that big crate and push it into the cargo hold. With a bit of luck, we'll be back in the ship in jiffy..how's that?" he paused to think for a minute

"Or we could move some crates about now, but where will we put em?. Plus, with gravity those things way a ton".

Jamie looked at Marcus. Of course, he knew nothing about planning, he was just a medic, but he still tried to think it through anyway.

"I think the first idea makes more sense and would probably be easier to do." he said to Marcus, before starting to think about it in more detail.

The scanner consoles in front of him began to flicker and fill with static. "Magnetic radiation" he muttered under his breath. "Keep those shields at full power" he said turning to Issaria. Within minutes he piloted the ship to the coordinates given by Mike.

"Extraction Team!" he called through the intercom. "This is Roach, we have arrived at your designated location. There are four crates in the area as far as I can tell from the scanners, but that might not be entirely accurate, there is too much magnetic radiation from the sun to give a 100% accurate reading. What I do know for sure is that the crates are drifting towards the big red gas planet to our Northeast. You guys should be careful out there, the gravitational pull is quite strong in the region. Also, our proximity to the sun is another factor. The ambient temperature is about 3000 Kelvin and the ships computer tells me that your hazard suit shields can only last for just under 90 seconds from direct exposure to such temperatures. The Sakkara's shields will last about an hour, tops. It's a risk we have to take, so I have placed the ship between the sun and the crates, the shadow of the Sakkara should make retrieval of the crates easier. Scanners tell me that the temperatures to the west of us, in the shadow of the ship, is low enough for a sustained spacewalk. Whatever you do, don't stray out of the shadows, you won't last long!. Also, if you can't retrieve the crate in under an hour I suggest you get back to the ship ASAP, before our hull melts!. I'll wait for the captain to depressurize the cargo bay before turning off the gravity in there. Good luck and standby"

As Roach spoke he pressed a few buttons on his command console and the Sakkara came to dead stop. "Ship in position Captain, all systems reporting as normal. Extraction crew awaiting your orders"

Jamie stood by the loading bay, looking at Marcus whilst listening to the instructions from Roach. This mission did seem risky, and he didn't need to know what would happen to them if they stayed out there for over 90 seconds. That was something he wasn't going to do at all costs.

"...Good luck and standby" Roach said over the intercom. Jamie got a watch out of his pocket and set a timer on it, waiting to start it after being sent outside into the unknown.

90 seconds. Gotta remember that. 90 seconds...

He repeated this over and over in his head before responding to Roach's instructions.

"Very well then. Extraction crew standing by."

"Ship in position Captain, all systems reporting as normal. Extraction crew awaiting your orders." Jamie stood patiently by the scarily large doors.

Well, here goes nothing...

This isn't dead is it? I love it RP!!!

"I am ready to go, open the doors, lets get this done." Mike gave his suit one last check, "We have very little time before the gravitation pull of the large planet kicks in, lets do this!"

Aw, I was really liking the character of Roach and everyone else. Too bad there is a player shortage. This was so promising as well. :/

Well due to key player inactivity, this RP is officially on hold and back in the recruitment stage. There is a plan to restart recruitment but there is no guarantee that it will kick off with the same momentum. Still, given that there is active interest in the RP to proceed I won't call it quits yet.

Recruitment is now open again for this RP!!. Refer to Page 1 for the sheets and if we have a new crew compliment that will be active throughout the RP then I will make arrangements for a summary of things that have occurred thus far to be set up and I'll PM everybody and we can get underway again.

So for now, the "Current" crew who are still interested; I suggest putting down your RP names here. Just your name in this RP and your role on the ship. This way new players will know who from the old crew are still playing and what roles are already taken.

So:

Alexis - Captain
Mike - UPD Escort
Roach - Pilot
Issaria - Weapons officer

Mike- Uh... I don't really know what he does. I will say UPD escort.
