I'm amazed a series can consistently maintain a very high level of badness and still be successful.
They have their audience. Fast cars and music appeal to a particular segment of the movie going public so these films make money.

There will be a sixth film in the Fast and the Furious series, because Vin Diesel isn't done being quick and angry.
That made me giggle a lot and cheered my up immensely ^.^

OT: I dont mind the non-spinoff F&F films so i will probably see this at one point or another

A... sixth?!? Bu-but they haven't even released the fifth one yet!!

Oh well, I won't complain too much. Yeah they aren't very "good" films, but a movie doesn't have to be "good" to be entertaining. Plus, I do have a weak spot for Japanese tuners, as long as they aren't too ricified.

I don't count Tokyo Drift as part of the series, but 5 is my favorite number all the same.

Let's drive!

Nice to see Dwayne getting back into action. His not-so-actiony films didn't even get my interest.

That's interesting. Tokyo Drift is the only one I was tied down and forced to watch with my 'friends.' It was stupefyingly bad. Not Star Wars prequel bad, but bad. And the product placement was so crass and distracting I couldn't believe I was the only one who wanted to get up and turn the movie off.

The series probably isn't for me, but if you don't consider Tokyo Drift up to the level of the other movies maybe I shouldn't judge them all by it's example.

What the hell kind of plot-twisting have they got going on in this one?

That's Toretto and O'Connor, yeah. But then there's Han (Tokyo Drift), Tej (2 Fast 2 Furious) and Roman (also 2 Fast 2 Furious).

At least they're keeping the cast together. I'm hoping it's not going to be too convoluted to follow. But then again, I've got a feeling they aren't too worried about the plot anymore.

I admit to not watching 3-5, but one and two qualify as quite irrelevant to my interests.

Its like the Saw of douchebag movies.

I hate the series but I love it at the same time, they make great popcorn movies if you don't think logically. Anyone remember the first one where Paul Walker is doing his first race in his supra against Vin Diesel and somehow after using his nitrous his fucking floor panel decides to make a random exit? What exactly caused that? It wasn't even their idea to do that, it was some moron producers idea, but still! Or with the whole "100,000$ into a Honda civic" like really? How could you possibly put 100grand into a civic? What's the engine made out of? GOLD?!

I loved the third one though, especially after the movie when I saw people in FWD cars try to drift out of the parking lot and one of them hitting a light post in the middle of the lot. Good times :)

Cough anyway off on a tangent there :p I'd still like to see it! :p

Hmm... xXx? That movie was amazing, yet the second one sucked. Way to kill off Vin Diesel, too. Now he is stuck making these movies... Then again, as long as it isn't as bad as Tokyo Drift was, guess I can't complain...

Oh, and the black cop guy, The Rock? I really can't take him serious anymore after that tooth fairy movie...
The third one was the best IMO.
But it's the best of the shit-pile so that's not saying much.
I can't watch them with any other person in the room anymore or I'll get asked to leave. The amount of automotive bullshit they have injected (Hah!) into these movies over the years make my head hurt.

I'd complain, but, fast cars, bad guys and Vin Diesel.
They're the perfect rainy saturday evening films.
^same, plus I hear they're doing another xXx film. WITH Vin Diesel. dont ask my how, I dont know either, I'm just excited for another xXx Vin Diesel movie.

besides, this is OLD news.
Maybe vin will play his twin brother.

Anyway, this is old news, yeah. I thought Fast Five was the fifth movie, so the only reason I clicked on this thread was thinking they'd already announced another.

Wait, a sixth? I thought they stopped it at 3. They realized they had a dying animal on their hands, and was going to put it to sleep.

I guess I've been hanging out under a rock lately.

Picture seems so relevant.

On topic, sweet. Another movie to watch when I remember I no longer own any Need for Speed games.
