Buffy was a very successful show with a great cast and a fantastic and dedicated fanbase. It's known widely throughout the world and propelled Whedon into other great projects.
Why do this and not work on something original?

This is stupid, unnecessary and soulless.
Sad times.

damn... my wife will explode when hearing this, i bought her the entire series and she was stuck to the tv a good amount of 2 months watching the damn thing... hope this doesn´t get to the big screen, that series were awful

but hey if there is no Spike in there perhaps my wife wont watch it...
