So i decided to build myself a computer. The specs are based on that of the weekly PCGamer rig edits. I am a total idiot at computer building, and i need some help.. So i got these specs, but i am unsure of what other things i need, can anyone help me out with this? (Also, i'm not decided on the case, as i found another one, fits neatly with the parts aswell, but a bit cheaper), also, more importantly, how decent is this rig (Skyrim ultra decent)?

CPU
Intel Core i5 2500K

Motherboard
Gigabyte Z68AP-D3

RAM
Crucial Ballistix 8gb

3D Card
GeForce GTX 560Ti

Hard drive
Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB

DVD drive
LG GH22NP21

Case
Corsair Carbide 500R

Power supply
XFX Pro Core 650W

EDIT: Also i'm not quite sure if this should be in the gaming section or not..

Thanks, man. I know 8GB is a bit much, but the Ballistix are incredibly cheap where i live, atm (2 4gb "cards" almost for the price of one).
Also i don't need a blu-ray drive, as i have a PS3. And i really just want to minimize the cost of things that aren't exactly super essential to me.

So uh.. I really don't need more than this? So say if i got all these parts (case included) then i would be ready to build a PC?

(Do screws come with the packages? :p)

Which 560 ti? You can get the following....

- 1gb with 384 cores

- 2gb with 384 cores

- or the newer 1.3gb models with 448 cores. The newer 448 core versions are better for modern games. I went for the 2gb 384 core model as my primary app is a simulator from 2006 which prefers clock speed to cores it seems, and this new card behaves much better than my GTX 470, which is now sat in a box looking sorry for itself!

Also, GPU cooling. GPUs tend to run quite hot, so I'd strongly advise going for something along the lines of an MSI card with a twin frozr (dual fan, big heatsink) setup. Something like this comes straight from the factory, all ready to run cool so you needn't fit any aftermarket coolers yourself.

Also, if you think you may want to run a second GPU at some point, buy a much more powerful PSU in the 850 watt range. It's a lot easier to do it first time and not have to strip things down later if you change your mind.

My overclocked 560 ti apparently uses 303 watts at full load. Your CPU will be around 95 watts I think. Add to that what's needed to run the motherboard, HDDs, fans and any lights in the case and you'll have a fair bit of load. You never want to run a PSU at its limit. The same can be said for any component really.

I wouldn't really trust the Ballistix. I went through several sets of them before giving up and switching to another brand. >.>
