Hello all, as my name states I am a Police Officer in the UK. In our time off, we all need something to wind down, most of my colleagues have second jobs, but I don't fancy working in my time off. So, I thought I'd do something in Gaming, which I have loved since I was young.

I want to build a new team run gaming blog, featuring several reviewers and bloggers. Due to my job, I wouldn't be able to produce another content on my own to keep it going strong. So I'm after a good core group of people to help me out, and I'm a long time escapist lurker, so I know that I'd find some people here.

I don't want this to be MY project, I'd prefer a TEAM project. I want to embrace and implement others ideas and run it as a team. All I want to do is provide the funding (For the website, and even a few games to review if needed.) and pitch in on my rest days when I want to do something relaxing and to wind down.

I'm not really sure which direction to go in, but I'm thinking a few different people who like different game genres maybe some who have different features.

If there is anyone who seriously wants to be part of something which could be great fun then feel free to pm me any thoughts you have and that you are interested.

If anyone has any general tips or hints, please just post in this thread. I've been out of this kind of stuff for a couple of years (I used to blog a bit of gaming for a now defunct general news site.)

Cheers guys! Sorry for the wall of text.

Sounds like a great idea, do you have any specific requirements on applicants? Just so I know if I should even bother sending a PM.

Same here , If there's no restrictions I'd happily contribute as somebody who adores games and writes reviews of them anyway. Any chance to contribute , no matter how infrequently since I have school and exams , would be appreciated.

Funnily enough i have recently started on this endevour myself with a friend check my profile for a link.

I would advise using blogger.com you can sign up with a googlemail account which then ties into everything else from youtube to twitter you can even register for a domain and transfer management to google+

I would say from my experience the hardest part is getting the foundation of the site down and looking the way you want, once that's in place actually writing articles and content isn't to bad at all :) i wish you luck
