i recently bought a SEGA Megadrive from a flea market for 20 swedish crowns (2,47 USD/2,00 EUR) including AC adapter.
however i didnt get niether AV-out cable, controllers nor games. nobody seems to want to sell the controller without selling their entire console so i thought that maybe i can build my own controller. i dont mean building an exact copy of the megadrive controller just building a piece of wood with some buttons on it wired the same way as the megadrive controller.
i found out that there is 9 pins on the controller input and 8 diffrent possible inputs (1 needs to be left to close the circuit).
what i need to know:
1. what pin goes to wich button?
2. will it work if i just wire the buttons like circuit breakers or will i nees some kind of chip/processor/etc?
3. is there some place on the internet where i can simpley buy a cheap controller or maybe some games?
