There developers seem like such nice fuckwads. Seriously dude be professional when talking about the game your developing.

I understand his leaping in to stop the rumor since since as we all know gamers tend to be very short-sighted when they hear DRM and will flock like angry lemmings to crucify the thing before the fact get laid out. Of course we still have no idea wither there is persistent DRM or not since no matter what the truth is, he will deny it since admitting it is bad business and they'll try to pass it off as something else even if they do have it.

I'm so torn on Bulletstorm. On one hand, I'm a huge Painkiller fan, love People Can Fly and I was locked into this one the moment I heard about it. But Epic has oversold the douchebag meathead angle SO much that I've actually rounded the corner and my interest is slipping. At this stage, I really want a demo.

That said, I still love PCF and it'll probably be an awesome shooter. It's just a pity that Epic had to "help" with marketing, especially when Adrian is so clearly capable of handling things on his own.
But fratboys make everything better!

You know what I mean, brah?

I really, really want it to be another Painkiller, but ever since I first heard that it was getting console versions and that Epic bought them, I've been worried. Epic really doesn't seem to give even half a rat's ass about the PC anymore, and the Painkiller style of old school high speed play just plain old doesn't work with a controller (and the guys who made Monday Night Combat recently had a very good explanation of why [http://www.penny-arcade.com/2011/1/24/], although that's not specifically what they were talking about).

I'm happy that they've said that the Ubisoft-style of DRM is not being used, but if it still has GFWL attached to it, that kills it for me anyway, and even without that, the lack of demo pushes it back to "wait until it's $20 or less" territory. I really, really hope that I'm wrong to be so pessimistic and am pleasantly surprised by the game, but I'm not feeling very hopeful at this point.
