Bulletstorm...WHY?

on the plus side it does look very nice, unfortunately they spoiled this buy having most of screen obscured by enemy genitals (which just fly at you when you use the leash) as well as points and achievements that you get for just pushing any button.

Ive seen a bunch of people on this board fired up about Bulletstorm and i honestly cant tell why. Can someone please explain why this Duke Nukem-esq foul mouthed shooter is getting so much hype? I usually like the games epic puts out but i don't get why shooting a random baddie in the ass 4598309 times and then listing to a 12 year old swear is so awesome.

watch zero punctuations pain killer review........done? OK the people can fly has made bullet storm not epic they are just publishing it (the same way Bethesda is only publishing brink but someone else is making it) anyway bulletstorm is going to basically be painkiller x3 with a scoring system for killing dudes in a creative manner (e.g. keeping them above you while shooting them so you can shower in their blood(actually that isn't in it but only due to programming difficulties))

I understand this game is not going for realism, but why do i have to be creative? i have a gun!
if the challenge were found in the mechanics of the game driving me to use these "creative" killing methods to take advantage of a difficult enemies weakness, that would be great. as it is they just run up to me so i can pose them like masochistic barbie dolls!

Well, it is a change-up from shooting the same Arab/Russian/Resptilian-Alien for the 5,003,238,023 time... then going on-line to listen to a 12 year old swear.

Yeah it's like that other game where you just shoot people over and over again and listen actual twelve year olds swear.

Oh wait that's Call of Duty online, which millions of people play.

How is the hype about Bulletstorm at all surprising?



PS: I'm super looking forward to Bulletstorm and love CoD.
