Today in spanish class our teacher showed us a video of a bullfight. It showed the matadors and all the phases of a fight ( banderillas lances cape) and the killing blow (he missed).

I could'nt help but hear out from the obnoxious activists yelling out "this is murder!"
And the teacher explained to her that the bullfighters job is too present the bull and spare his life.

What I'm trying to say is Is bullfighting neccesasry?
Does the Matador have to kill the bull?

It's entertainment, so it doesn't make a huge difference I don't think. I'm sort od neutral on it. Like MMA.
Why would the matador kill the bull? that would be way too expensive.

Superiority huh? Okay, lets se how you fare against a Siberian Tiger. You get a rifle but I'm pretty sure it will still kill you.

I'm all for killing animals as long as you eat the animal you kill

I don't know how delisious a siberian tiger would be though

Yes, yes, we get it.
It's cruel to the animals and what not.
But if someone wants to get in an arena with a creature many times their size, if they win, I think they should be allowed to kill said creature.

That said, I think it would be funnier if there were at least three bulls in the ring at a time.
I would actually watch the event then.

You should start making shows for ESPN.

Whenever I can, I fly to Pamplona to participate in San Fermin. I usually stay at a hostel for the duration of the week. And every time I go, no matter what, I'll don the red sash and run with the bulls. It's exhilarating.

As for bullfighting itself, I enjoy watching it, but don't agree with the whole idea of giving parts of the bull as awards (the ears, a bit of the horn, etc, depending on how well the matador did)

Sigh...I think I'd lose my job too quickly.
There are only so many people you can kill on TV before they catch on to the fact that you're just being a bastard.

Yeah, but it would be a great and entertaining run. That would also be the only time I'd ever wear a Bulls jersey.

You clearly have no idea how to pilot a tank. If you did, you'd know you need a crew of 3 at the very least. 4 is ideal.

Smae here if the purpose is to eat. The Spanish kill it just for the fuck of it. It also customary to throw goats off buildings during some holidays over there. I doubt they eat vthat splattered carcass.

Sorry, but that is hilarious to me.
It's just so random!
I wonder how that got started.

Bullfighting is a tradition in many Spanish cultures. Tradition is important. Just because people started going crazy and causing global warming by loving the animals too much (Most people don't mind murder, it's the death of an animal that causes them to complain, which is just dumb) doesn't mean we should just throw out traditions that have little to no impact on the grand scheme of things. There are plenty of bulls, and when the occasional human dies off we have plenty of other stupid people lining up to take his place.

But the main point here: The bull would die anyways.

And yes, I know there are bad traditions (Samurai dishonor suicide, anyone?), but this is not one of them.

Pack your good shirt, gentlemen. We're going to Spain for goat-throwing day.

OT: If they eat the bull then sure, why not? That's just getting more bang for your buck. If it doesn't die then who cares? It'll get over it eventually... I think.
