So I LOVED Bully or Canis Canem Edit as I am in europe and on the ps2 verstion but does any one else think that a sequel would be the best thing since sliced bread? personaly i think that gary should go to a rival school and starts spending the game atacking bullworth and jimmy has to spend the game training each clique in bullworth or something anyway, let me know your opinions and stuff.

ps i actualy think bully is better than GTA!

I'd love to see a new one come out. Really enjoyed that game. Oh and off topic: I once got principa's secretary lady into:
1)a bin
2)a locker
AND the BEST one...(drumroll)
3)Flushed her head down a toilet)

I really liked Bully, but that's because I'm so awful at GTA and Bully was like a GTA game but for little kids. You even got to PLAY a little kid. It was genius.
I'm more indifferent towards a sequel though. I may rent if there was nothing else at all I wanted at the time but I wouldn't buy it :/

Here's my idea for Bully 2:
You go to summer camp.
It would work, you could do outhouse shakings and all that stuff. It would be awesome.

Not everything needs a sequel, I like looking back on games I enjoyed just on their own without a sequel overshadowing/tainting them. Bully is one of those games. Manhunt was too, until they made the oh-so controversial sequel that really did more harm than good I think, I still don't know whether it's actually available here in the UK without looking it up.

EDIT: Basically what Mother Yeti said.

That would be pretty cool. Hopefully, that's what they'll do!

Bully was a great game but once I beat it it was boring.
Bully 2 would probally be a bad game because they might do it similiar to Mercenaries 2
where it would just be a graphical update with gameplay and story dumbed down.

I liked Bully a lot more than GTA as well, I just can't get into the theme of crime games.

I enjoyed making out with the pretty girls in the game (if only high school was like that for me... maybe if Bully had came around then I wouldn't have been so scared of beautiful girls)

I would enjoy a sequel quite a bit. Not "another adventure with Jimmy" type story, Bully was wrapped up quite nicely (I prefer that to this cliffhanging crap that's so popular right now). Maybe we can expect one, most companies are not even considering developing games unless they have franchise potential. But I don't know how comfortable RockStar was with the press Bully received. Yes, they're used to bad press, but I don't know which buttons are too edgy for them, the school violence thing did force a title change in some markets, that's a sign of backing down.

I also think Bully is better than GTA.

The fighting mechanic is better, it's a lot more brutal and complete than GTA, like the way you can grapple, perform takedowns and ground and pound.

The simple skateboarding mechanic is a lot of fun, I liked the way you could quickly switch to the skateboard in your inventory and skate off.

I also though the way you could climb trees and scale buildings was good, it added more freedom to the environment.

It took some of the mist fun aspects of GTA, i.e. fucking around and pulling pranks, and made a game out it. I loved the shit you could do with a bag of marbles, like scattering them near a door, pulling a fire alarm and watching the ensuing carnage.

The only thing it lacked compared to GTA was the ability to drive cars and actually kill people, but this was more than made up for by the fun things you could do.
Also even though you couldn't actually kill people, you could give them such savage and sadistic beatings that you know they would be dead in real life.

Put me on the short list that prefers Bully to GTA. Sure the story isn't as deep, but since you couldn't do quite as much, what activities you could partake in where a lot more polished. The fighting was great, the relatively small map was well defined and even the changing of the seasons was a nice feature.

As for a sequel, the summer camp idea is nice, but it'd be too limited. Unfortunately, the game was wrapped up pretty neatly. I'd like to see the smaller world, bigger focus applied to a fresh new idea.

The beauty of Bully is its story line. Rockstar did a amazing job of taking a open world game to a school. It depicts class conflict, corrupt education system, emotion, bit of sex, friendship and what not. Also, the way each of the charecters are developed, you feel you are back to your boarding school days and relate to them. There is no comparison with GTA series even though RS uses the same engine. GTA should actually now stop coming up with sequels as after san aderas and vice city stories the other ones look forceably streched to PS3 platform.
As for sequel of Bully-why not once more at least. I like the idea of inter school rivalries. Jimmy becomes the hero of bull worth and now there are two or three more rival schools which compete with each other. There are gangs there as well and there are often fights. Jimmy and his friends (leaders of different gangs from Bull worth) compete in racing, boxing, elections, debates, soccer matches, inter school championship etc in the day time and set out to do the naughty things in the night. When jimmy befriends a rival school girl, it becomes even better. one can even consider a revolt within Bullworth for a shortwhile.
However, the Bully 2 should have multiple ending choices depending upon the deeds of Jimmy-i.e. If he helped someone, if he beat up some one this should have an effect on the game. If jimmy befriends a girl and cheats on her, it should also have some effect.. Secondly, the graphics needs to be improved significantly in the new version. The town could look little more real and so as the environment. Finally, there should be a easier saving option.

I loved Bully as it was a great refresher from all the GTA violence. A sequel would be magnificent if they could reduce those awful load times.

Well, I enjoyed Canis Canem Edit, although I don't know about it being better than GTA. Well, Vice City, at any rate, since that was the best.

Anyway, on topic, yes, I'd like to see another Canis Canem Edit, although I'm not sure where they could go with it, since college could be an option but might be pretty much the same routine.
