Hurr durr console crusaders; they love to complain until they get ports of PC games but when it comes around the other way us PC gamers just have to shut up and not spoil the kiddies' fun.

As a careful reminder to anyone considering buying this game.

The developers claim it is "Too Much work" to port a game to the platform with the highest revenue.

Don't expect any updates after the game is launched. That's probably too much work too.
Huh?

The Limited Edition will include a Steelbook Case and Game Disc, Guardian Folio (containing "Arms and Armaments" Field Guide, Postcards, and a Star Chart), exclusive digital content, and the Destiny Expansion Pass (which will include access to future story missions, cooperative activities, competitive multiplayer arenas and upcoming weapons, armor and gear to earn).

The Digital Guardian Edition will include a digital download of the game, the same exclusive digital content from the Limited Edition, and access to two upcoming Destiny Expansions.
I'm confused. Isn't that a direct contradiction to what was said in the article? About the future expansion packs? Doesn't that count as "updates"? What exactly are you talking about?

Anyway, it sucks this isn't launching on PC as well. From what I've seen of various discussions surrounding this game, there is a lot of interest in it from PC players. I don't see a reason why this shouldn't come to PC as well. Hopefully it does, and soon.
Its because the limited and ghost editions specifically say they come with the Expansion Pass, but the digital doesnt. It instead just says you have access to the first 2 expansions. Whether that means there are more than 2 included on the Expansion pass, or they just chose to use different wording is anyones guess.

And for everyone else. The issue isnt the core build, its the bug testing and managing the product day 1. PC just has way more variables. the other 4 platforms are static and will have the same problems and solutiions on their respective systems. This is a huge boon in bug testing and patching. PC has so many variables that you would probably need the teams from all 4 other platforms, just devoted to PC bug testing and fixing, because of the range of different software and hardware which can create a ridiculous range of annoying to replicate issues.

I think holding back on launch day and releasing a better PC product they're better able to support down the track is so much the right decision its baffling. A lot of these 'but we want it now' complaints seem to say you want a clusterfuck at launch (which you will then crucify).
