I don't really have a special way to eat burgers. But I do know of a place that one absolutely must visit. The joint is called Five Guys. I've only ever seen one and it is here in New York but I'm positive there are others. Mostly East Coast I'd presume. If you get the chance, check the place out. Best burgers and fries I've ever had.
Is this the one at 7th avenue between 6th and 7th streets in Brooklyn? Cause I hate that place and prefer corner burger down the block.
No, I'm in Henrietta New York. Just outside of Rochester. I go to school at RIT so its the place to go if you don't want school food or T-Bell.

Right, I'll just fill it with as much cheese and bacon as I can without losing the taste of the burger itself. And there have to be sesame seeds. A bun without sesame seeds is like Oblivion without glitches. It just doesn't work (or does, depending on your point of view...).

Wow. A lot of regional favorites - and potentially pretty awesome burger recipes. Mustard and Worchestshire sauce? Sounds interesting.

As for me, I'm a proud amateur burger enthousiast and chef myself. My own recipe is a slab of beef, cheddar, fried onion rings, diced pickle and curry gewürz: the last ingredient being a type of curry sauce so obscure it doesn't even have a wikipedia entry. Just think of it as spiced ketchup - and it's AWESOME.

Get the hell out of this thread meat-hater.
Red meat is for nice cuts of meat. I don't care for any less. But I do consume the flesh of other living things, so I don't hate meat.

Just a double cheeseburger with ketchup.

I'm a pretty plain guy on cheeseburgers =p

I stand corrected.

You can get premium ground beef at some butchers, as well as some of the better restaurants like Pappa Joe [http://www.pappajoe.nl/] in the Netherlands. But I do agree that most fast food restaurants, especially in the states, either just sell meat byproducts molded into a patty or just don't know how to cook.

Also: are they still alive when you start eating?

Meat, cheese, bigger than my mouth (none of that new bite size bull!), must almost fall apart by the time I'm done with it. If you don't get a little of it on you, then it just wasn't good enough. (Same rule applies to ribs and wings.)

For me, yeah, I prefer the double whopper 'plain' with bacon n cheese, as in no mayo, no onion, no lettuce, if I wanted a salad, I'd order one, don't infect my burger!

Having said that, I had an amazing burger in one of those steakhouse places, 2 6oz burgers, with a fried egg, 3 pork sausages, another fried egg, and 3 slices of bacon, and cheese. Almost impossible to actually eat as a burger, but damn its good. (and probably fatal)

A veggie burger is alright I guess, but I really only make one when I have nothing else to eat for dinner.

Oh yeah, beef is really nasty. So is steak.

I think James Corden (the fat bloke from Gavin and Stacey) made a good point on a panel show, he likes McD's, yet he's got friends who go clubbing, and snort coke off the back of public toilets, and they go to him' You had a cheese burger? how can you put that muck in your system!'

Is the whopper really that popular? I see it popping up all over this thread.
