Fat Princess is an indie game sold on PS3, and probrably won't see another port on any consoles, and i'm pretty sure it's being sold on steam now.Let me just tell you the basic plot of it all right now just so I can save more room for gameplay and stuff like that. Two rival kingdoms are fighting over each other's princesses.Although, I wouldn't know why you'd want too, considering there both needy bitches, but whatever, lets roll with it.
GAMEPLAY:Gameplay wise, there is plenty of things to do, aparently. You and your men are desperately trying to steal the enemies princess without yours being stolen at the same time.To do this you must fat your princess up, so that it'll be harder get her fat ass out of there. Now, the fact that this gameplay mechanic is unique and different than most RTS type games, cake is free and unlimited, making it way to easy to fatten your princess up, and the enemies princess as well.you can pick between five distinct classes to choose from, so let's talk about them individually:
worker class:The worker class is able to cut down trees and gather resources, for the armed men, to purchase upgrades.Beleve it or not, this class is incredibly unbalanced. The first upgrade you buy for the worker class, are gunpowdered bombs. Now, when people are useing spears and swords, that just not fair. Also, while i'm on subject, trees grow back in less than one minute, getting an unlimited amount of resources and upgrades.
warrior/soldier class:The soldier class is, of course, used for fighting and slaughtering meelee style. Now, I never upgraded the warrior class enough, because I just bombed people with my stupidly overpowered bomber workers. But when I got bored of that, and finally tried the warrior man, I figured out how long it takes for anything to get done in this game. The warrior swings so slow and uneasy, I got carved in twelve seconds. The game literally drags this shit on for hours. It took me a half an hour to capture one outpost.I'd hate see you play with someone else.
the priest class: The priest can heal people on the battlefield.Surprisingly, this class is very balanced. No, not really of course. The AI is so stupid, that whenever I was dying they would rather run away and suck their magical healing thumbs. They're also royaly buttfucked when they have to go toe-toe with a hostile enemy considering they can't attack worth shit.It is a pretty easy way to get points though.
the archer class:The archer is a guy who can fire arrows to kill enemies. This guy is the worst of them all.Seriously, the aiming is so terrible, it's like firing into a bucket of dead fish with arms.Worst part is, is that the AI are fucking unstoppable.AI can fire perfectly at you, and line up men at the front gate to slaughter as much men as humanly possible. But don't think your archers are any good, because apparntly your roster of archers are a bunch of WII owners with brain hemreges.
the mage class:The mages are nothing special, and are probrably the most balanced.Their attacks slow, but cause massive damage.Nuff' said.
IN CONCLUSION:Many of these problems can be solved by balance issues, and that the game's to easy and boring. Please, comments are welcome.
