So here's the situation.
My roomate loves video games, but she has injured both her wrists and thumbs. She's now permanently partial disabled in them actually :(
So holding any sort of game controller, even the wiimote, is painful.
Then she sees the kinect and there's no controller and boom, loves the idea. She can play games again without feeling like she has to rip her wrist off!

But she's on the fence and worried about how many games there are for the kinect and wants the best value for her dollar so she asked if I would play any games on it and all I could do is shrug and say... maybe 1 or 2 that I can think of.

So what good games are there for the xbox 360?
But...
I don't like shooters on consoles
Don't like sport games
and I see no point in buying something for the console when I can get it on my PC

So... what's left?

Edit:
I'm looking for games for me, so racing, fighting, action, adventure, etc games.
I have a Wii and a PC but no PS3.
Also DS, SNES, GameCube, PS2, but I'm looking at this gen of games.

Well there is always XBLA that's going to fill up pretty quick methinks...

Other than that there's the odd retail title... but none that spring to mind really.

You a fan of fighting games?
If so, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter IV may be worth a look-see. You could get Street Fighter IV on PC, but the Super version's better, I think.
I suppose, at a push, Tekken 6 is okay as well. But I personally prefer the others.

Can't really think of any other worthwhile games though. Then again, my memory ain't the best.

EDIT:
This is recommending for you. Are we recommending Kinect games?
I'm confuzzled now!

Deadly premonition. It's a funky survival horror. It's an acquired taste, but if you have that taste. Damn, is that game hilarious. I'd recommend it to anyone, but don't blame me if you don't like it.

Off topic I know. But since we are all gonna be wondering it. How did she screw her hands that badly?

Btw if she is interested in more motion control crap, she could always get one of these [http://www.thebadbackshop.co.nz/media/catalog/product/cache/1/thumbnail/350x300/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/j/o/jobri-carpal-tunnel-wrist-support-2_1.jpg] and mount the Move dildo in it. Like have its shaft mounted into the wrist area and have the ball poking out like in her palm.
She worked too hard and her hand gave up before she did. And those supports hurt her, already tried that, but thanks!

Games for me. Yeah... fighting games need a controller... Marvel vs Capcom 3 looks sweet. Okay cool.

As for exclusives Alan Wake comes to mind, as does fable. Not fable 3, Fable, specifically The lost chapters.

Although, I dont really see Kinect solving the problem. If the wrist and arm are fouled up do you think flailing them around to make the control gestures is going to be any easier than griping a controller?

Well I assume the wrists in question would have casts or something on them to hold them in place.

And me and a lot of other people liked F3, Fable TLC is good, but skip 2.

I don't know what kind of fighters you like, but I found SSFIV to be a slow and boring fireball spam fest. I'd second the recommendation of MVC3 though. I'd also like to add Blazblue Continuum Shift and Soul Calibur IV are both quite good and DOA4 is an xbox exclusive that's a few years old, fun, has good netcode and is easy to buy cheap. I also really liked Tekken 6. It was my first Tekken, but all the Tekken aficionados say it's the worst Tekken ever. Oh well. There's also this thread that might help you out:

As for RPG's hard to say what to pick up. A lot of the best ones are also on PC, but I prefer to play from my couch so I get them on the 360. I rather enjoyed fable 3, but a lot of people outright hate it and it's not without it's problems. If you want an adventure game though Alan Wake is a good bet.

If i was you, i would buy a Dreamcast over a xbox any day of the week.

Your guaranteed to get more fun out of it.

Or, just buy a Ps3, whatever suits your fancy.

i know you said you don't like console shooters but you might as well check out the condemned games. they're first person combat but there's very little shooting, mostly brutal melee/hand-to-hand. and red dead redemption obviously.

Yeah, Red Dead Redemption looks really interesting, especially with all the hype around it.

Child of Eden also looks really cool.

Suggesting other consoles really isn't helping me. She's willing to buy an Xbox 360 and allow me to use it for FREE, IF I can up its 'value' with good and cool games for it.

Trust me, if I was rich I'd own one of every console and turn a whole room into a video game library.

Seeing as you own a pc, you might already own some of these anyway, but here goes:

Saints Row 2, hilarity insured.
Marvel v Capcom 3
Mass Effect 1&2
[Prototype]
Brütal Legend; Only if you're into the whole metal world.
Darksiders
Fallout 3 and New VEgas
Batman AA
LIMBO
Just Cause 2

Hopefully not in the bathroom. You don't want to shit where you keep your.. err, shit.

What I would suggest for an Xbox 360 game is, first to mind, is The Orange Box. Contains 3 games, which is Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal.
I'd also get Just Cause 2, since it's just outright fun.
Thirdly, I might recommend some of my favorite shooters, but God willing not many dig them very much. (Gears of War, Halo, Etc..)

If you like fighters, "Fighters Uncaged" [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OemHcFyVAgE] is a different concept. Its a fighting game on the kinect. 4 out of 5 stars on Amazon from 50 some user reviews isn't wretched. Beyond that I don't know anyone who's played it/has a kinect so shot in the dark there.

I agree with Alan Wake, but beyond that I'm having a hard time thinking of games on xbox that are not on PC.

Oh yeah, Mirror's Edge. I have it for both PC and 360, I much prefer the controls/flow of the game on the 360. I love that game.

Just make sure you have enough space for the Kinect, especially if you want to play two player games. My sister had to return her new Kinect because the living room in her flat was too small.

cant she tape a wiimote or move controller to her wrists/hands. The kinect library is still very small and consist mostly of shovel ware. Also cant she play with her feet (I saw this guy on TV once and he was spastic (making it impossible to use any controller) and he learned to play with his feet kicking as on Halo)?

We actually live in an apartment of a century mansion. The room is like 20' x 16' with 12' high ceiling. She has a 55" TV in there too.

So yeah, space is all good.

The tape would put pressure on the painful areas of her arm. Its right from her elbow to the tip of her fingers, it really sucks.

I think her toes are too short and cute in order to operate a controller with them. But I'll ask her. :D

I can't believe this question was so hard. Is this why the 360 doesn't sell in Japan?
