A carton of what I assumed was milk (I was visiting the Netherlands at the time) but actually turned out to be extremely thick, almost solid, cream.

In games, it's Hellboy: The Science of Evil. I liked the movies, and the game had the voicework of the cast plus it was produced and supervised by Guillermo del Toro and Mike Mignola, with a story created by them. Should be good, right? Only if the actual game didn't suck. I tried out co-op with my brother, and it's the first time I've seen a game so boring, it actually put someone to sleep (and that was in the first half-hour of gameplay!).

In movies, it Across the Universe. I bought for my mom for her birthday since she likes The Beatles, and I watched with her. I regretted buying it, my mom regretted asking for the movie, and we both regretted watching it.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

I actually stood there, trying to decide between Twilight Princess or Okami.

"Well, they're both apparently really long, artful looking games. Both apparently have interesting stories, and around 35-40 hours of playtime. AND they both have wolves...

But Twilight Princess is $5 cheaper. SOLD!"

Ehh... What a pile of poo that game was. I still regret it, even to this day.

Hmm... it's either paying 40 quid for the additional content version of Dragon Age: Origins then getting fed up of tiresome micromanaging gameplay, or paying somewhat less for STALKER: Call of Pripyat then finding it won't install (discussions with Securom support are ongoing).

I don't think I have any really terrible ones. My computer is probably up there, it was a good spec at the time certainly, but it was also a Dell and therefore came overpriced, with downgraded parts (I was covertly given lower spec ram than I ordered), and a locked bios, which is extremely frustrating as I would like to bump up my Q6600 to 2.8 or 3ghz.

More recently there was Op Flashpoint 2. I spent countless hours playing the original and its expansions, so I had really high expectations for the game. The actual end product really disappointed me in nearly every regard and it has definitely made me pay more attention to user reviews and gameplay clips before buying games.

This old emachines computer back in college. I needed a new computer and it was super cheap. I should have done more research. It was a turd, even for the discounted price. Fortunately the next year my roommate was one of those guys who builds all his own computers, and hooked me up with a great deal that I'm still using to this day. I'll never bend over for a major manufacturer again.

Also, since I've been unemployed for 4 months, I'm starting to regret buying my car. I love it, but that $600 car payment blows major goats.

Sorry to say, but the PS3, While I still have loads of fun with LBP and Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm. I feel saddned that other games just don't phone to my liking. That and rarely anyone has a mic, so multiplayer games where sold almost immediately or replaced with Xbox versions. I might like it better if I had the money to go and get MAG.

My nintendo DS. I played about 4 games I liked on it and that was it. Plus I have an NDS emulator, so I mean, it was utterly useless to me.

XBox 360. A few months after buying it, I only bought PC games...nowadays I only use it to play the occasional DVD that won't play on the DVD player.

Whats the biggest regret you have ever made about anything you have ever bought?

Please no fanboys. If you're going to bash a system, at least tell me why.
Borderlands, Folklore, Pixel Junk Shooter (wow that was a horrible waste) and... well I'm beginning to regret buying the PS3, not because I dislike it, but because a computer just seems to be where I spend most my time. Hopefully some games will come out soon to remedy that though.

Assassin's Creed. I got it afterschool one day, played it that night, played it afterschool the next day, and shelfed it forever.

I would say my runner up would be Far Cry 2, but I learned to make it fun after a while.

Bioshock...luckily it came with oblivion so it wasnt a complete waste.
Really? I thought Bioshock's atmosphere and story were top-notch. What did you dislike about it?

OT: Tenchu Z. The only damn impulse buy I ever made, I still have nightmares about the look on the face of the Gamestop employee as he was ringing it up... *shudders*
