Buying my brother a new computer (Tech Help)

Ok, so like I said before, I'm not super tech savvy, so I don't know exactly what is what in computers, but me and my dad are going out tomorrow and getting my brother a new computer as an early christmas present. But he wants to be able to play these 3 games on it, Prototype, CoD4:Modern Warfare, and Assassin's Creed (on about medium-high settings). So I need to find something that can do that but is in the like 700-1000$ or so range.

So, I'm just going to put out the specs on some of the ones I've seen in some of the flyers, and I'm hoping you Escapists can help me find something that will work.(We are going to try and look at Future Shop, Best Buy, and Business Depot)

You should get out the PC Hardware thread in these forums at http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.105715.
Gives several different builds, with the lowest one priced at about $530. That should be more than enough to play all the games you mentioned at a decent resolution. There are links provided as well.
