Buying new laptop

Going to be going to college in the fall and I figured a laptop would be a good investment since I don't have a smartphone or ipad(don't want one either).

Thought this looked pretty good for the price, obviously I like playing games and I have a pretty beastly desktop so I figure this will be more than fine for when I want to play a game outside of my dorm room.

So does this look like a good buy or does anyone think there's something better?

It all depends on what kind of games you'll want to play. I bought an HP gaming laptop several years ago when I first moved into college. Do a little research into what requirements you'll need to ensure you get your monies worth. Otherwise you'll invest in a laptop and it won't last long/give you a terrible gaming experience.
