It would have been fine if the media hadn't blown it out of proportion.
This. It sounds like one of surgary breakfast cereals (I'm not the only one to have thought that though).

Gay

Why is it used as a derogatory term? It's just so annoying.
It annoyed me so much I created a very lazy respell for it Gey. I thought about sticking a h between the G and E but... meh, that's gey.

every 14-17 English brat that i know uses that word like some sort of insult in a really tacky american accent , and it really gets on my nerves.
Why are brats just 14-17 year old? I know plenty of people that age who aren't "brats" and people who are brats that are older or younger than that.

I use kid all the time, but not like that. Just as a general substitute for "guys" or "people". Just a casual "Hey kids".

I'm sorry, but this bothers me - there is no such thing as an "American accent."
There are numerous accents you'll hear in America, but none that you'll hear all over, I'd wager.

Same with any other place, I guess...

But I try to avoid the news.
Epidemic is one I hear in relation to swine flu, despite it apparently not having killed that many people.
Also take a drink every time you hear "murder simulator."
You'll be drunk for weeks.
Or dead.
I have to agree with that, I went over to the states, heard a boston accent, then heard a new york accent when i was in, surpisingly enough, New york... exactly the same over here, a geordie accent is completely different from say, a scots one. nobody talks like a posh bastard here...

I really do hate it when people say 4-D. It pops up all the time on this advert and it gets me everytime.
