Personally I'd definitely recommend it, if for nothing more than it being completely unique.

I read the book and the film, liked both, but I must say, I understood the movie much better then the book. Some things in the book did just not get across to me until I saw them on the screen. Maybe I'm shallow, but whatever. Anyway I really liked it.

A very belated birthday.

Birthdays, entertainment, and awesomeness leaves me feeling no shame for bumping this fantastic review. I'm not surprised just how interesting, informative and entertaining it is. I have expectations now, be warned!

I absolutely loved this film, but haven't met many people who feel the same way. The few that I have met who have seen it didn't like it. I'm not sure how I feel about those people now... >.>

i read the book first (which i adore ever since) and i have to say, you pretty much need it to get a grip on what the hell is exactly going on. but i admit, the movie is classy, it does look nice, actors are great (robert downey jr for president) and it does not spoil the genius of the book:) and thats really the least you can ask for in the case of an adaptation

haha and I'm not too ashamed to accept. thank you, good sir - although you're turning me into a shameless attention whore. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to do some self-shot, black & white photography of me looking deep. Caio.

Yeah it was definitely a great film, without doubt, just not very accessible. Other than that, pure animated perfection :)
